Agni 1 test fired today

The tests are done in specific times of the year, this has something to do with the sea state these days. They are done in a series because of lesser testing costs, it is easier to move people and logistics for all tests for a month to the Wheeler Island and then back to Hyderabad and Chandipur.

Soon you will hear the same news from our side, not because we are "replying" to any kind of tests, but because of the scheduling to these tests when the sea is calmer.
how does the sea affect a launch? aren't Pakistan's missiles launched from somani. i know its a coastal facility and the missiles do land at sea. but i cant se why that would contribute to delaying a launch until the sea is calm

.
Big deal. These missiles can only deliver a nuclear payload to an enemy nation - such missiles are there with US, Russia, France, UK, China, Israel, Iran, North Korea and others. Does India have a missile which can deliver a nuclear payload on its own territory? Only one nuclear power has that capability. Eat your hearts out, Kuffars!

Strangly that might have it's uses too. As per nuclear planners, in the case of an escalation of conflict, 'atomi Kuwat' might indicate that nuclear threshold is approaching by detonating a bomb on it's own soil first :D

It's probably not the launching but the testing part which work best in specific weather. They may be making many minute measurements which can only be made in a somewhat controlled setting. Just a guess.

Indeed. Jadeed technology say lais, pin POINT accuracy walay naye nassar ka naam passar hai! :D

On topic: What is happening is, technologies that have been acquired, stolen, ripped and indeed the ones with "indigenous" R&D are maturing today....... so nothing new about it, it's the juice of all those years of acquisitions and re-labeling that have been going on! :D

If this is the case, why there are no fins in A4 & A5?

i dont hink that the y will change the controls last minute. im sure they are beyond that and the missiles are smart enough to make changes on their own. if your right you may as well go to war when theres a storm as they wont be able to launch their nukes. common sense pal hey ?

These tests are from SFC lot, so no Hyderabad. But only DRDO assets are used for tracking, but no telemetry equipments are used onboard the missile.

No R&D right now going on in A1, only A4 &A5 R&D programs are on in DRDO.

This is just coincidence,

1) A5 second test was done in September.
2) A3 second test was done in May
3) A3 fourth test was done in June
4) A4 second test was in September.

A1 in year 2012 was tested in July, and in 2014 in September.

no clue what you guys are discussing. Test of missile launch from under the water from a nuclear submarine without an active warhead.

You clearly are not showing much signs of common sense. I clearly said in my post that the TESTING may be weather sensitive. They are not just sending missiles and making sure it hits the target they are measuring many many things which are not very relevant in war situations but are important for the better understanding and future developments.
Clear enough now?

It's an extension of the "gun to own head" philosophy.

You got it all wrong in this regard,Nasr is all about "Ruhani taqat"(Zaid Hamid style) which helps it overcome even the sophisticated S-400 system or for that matter Barak-8 missiles;):P

Pot calling kettle black.

Does India have a missile which can deliver a nuclear payload on its own territory?

But you just did. If you point the missile east, it will land on Indian soil! You underestimate your country.
