PM Narendra Modi no less than God, will worship him: Sri Krishna Sena - The Economic Times

Uttar Pradesh may bag the champion’s trophy for having the most blatant political sycophants.

Although Prime Minister Narendra Modi has apparently discouraged any temple or statue in his name, a second temple is coming up in the state.

One Pushpraj Singh, a self-appointed president of the Sri Kishna Sena, laid the foundation stone of Modi’s temple in Jalalpur area of Allahabad district on Saturday. A two-hour long ritual was conducted there.

Singh declared that the temple would be constructed in five months.

“We have decided to collect Rs 1.50 crore from several Hindu organizations, including BJP, VHP and Bajrang Dal, to build this temple in which there would be idols of Lord Krishna and Modi,” said Singh.

They have hired one Kamta Prasad, an architect-cum-mason of Amethi, to prepare a layout of the temple and construct it.

“Sandstone of Mirzapur would be used in construction of this temple. We will also use marble in it,” said Prasad.

But there is a twist in the tale. The villagers have said that Singh wanted to grab some gram sabha land and so planned a temple there in the name of Modi.

“He is a land grabber who has his eyes on the gram sabha land. Since he is also associated with the Hindutva group, he wants to construct a temple of Modi in parts of the land and keep the rest for his personal use,” said a villager.

But Singh claimed the land belonged to him only.

Brijendra Narayan Misha (55), a VHP leader of Bhagwanpur under Chael tehsil in Kaushambi district, has already built a NaMo NaMo temple in his village.

A similar temple under construction in Gujarat’s Rajkot was razed after Modi expressed his displeasure.

This Bhaktas are strange people. Somebody build temple and somebody keep them as Avatar and mock others.

. .
Just wait for the time (not too far) when they'll even change the name of Bharat to Modibharta.
Their country, their rules.
However, I am quite astonished to see them building Mr.Modi's temple.I knew that Mr.Modi is popular, but I wasn't expecting that some mindsets will be building up his temple.
One more question, didn't intended any offense, but a temple is a place of worship & praise to god holy.If I even think as Hindu, not as Muslim I am still unable to sketch my activity in there. My confusion may sound stupid, but my intentions are genuine.
Mr.Modi is alive,so why do they need to built up a temple of him?
To be very honest,it is quite disappointing for me to understand politico-religious fusion in Indian politics.
Regards

Why are you surprised? they also have temples dedicated to Sachin Tandulkar, even to rats (living not dead).

and that first temple built was pulled down after his comment , now do you want him to leave his work an keep monitoring who is building a temple for him.

sure we do , any prob ?

There is a newly constructed temple near my house which has every conceivable deity and saint including Buddha and Saibaba. Needless to say the owners are minting money. Building a temple is very lucrative. As the article states this is also part of an organised land grab. The name of Modi will make naysayers think twice before opposing construction. It is about power, not hero-worship.

Why are you bothered?

Im yet to find a person more full of hatred for hindus.

Btw building a temple to a person is like building a shrine. Totally useless but does not harm anyone. Modi has said clearly that he is pained by such wastage but what private citizens do is noones business but apparently yours. And if there is a rat temple what is your problem? Are you here to criticize the religious practices of others? If so are you open to hearing what i have to say about islam???

Sheesh control your hatred dude, cant be healthy.

his hatred is actually a good source of entertainment , take it that way and you will find it easier to deal with him.

India is a country of 1.2 billion people.... Of which lot of them are not well educated....... These kind of things happens now and then...... I remember in my neighboring state they made temple in the name of an actress named "Kushbu".......

Here in this case, there is a political angle to it....... If not mistaken this is the second time.... last time modi himself asked them to stop it....

There is no such rule in India for your info...... But yes these morons provide opportunity to India/Hindu haters a chance to take a dig.......

Yes,sir.
However, it is because of illiteracy.I believe that they must educate them difference in between Hindu and non Hindu practices.

Respectable sirs,
I know that there is no rule for such activities. I appreciate Mr.Modi's approach to stop them. However,my definition concerned with temple needs to revised by me,of course.I agree with Nair that such activities are due to illiteracy. However,I believe that a committee of well versed Hindu scholars must be established which helps in drawing fine line b/w Hindu and non-hindu practices, especially building up temples of mortal beings.
One of my friend @Zebra tried to help me by interpreting it as shrine. However,in Muslims shrines are constructed in reminiscence of martyred auliyas.
Temple is a place of worship, built for immortal whom you believe as god.
Maybe, temple genuinely meant shrine but it is not just restricted to built up as place of worship?

As you have said, their country their rules. Who are we asking what they worship, why the worship. Besides religious discussions are not allowed.

As far as Modi is concerned, it is not about one person, it is about a phenomena, phenomena of extreme right wing religio-nationalism, something on the line of Nazi fascism. There is not shortage of Hindutvadis who idealize Nazi fascism and actively involved in emulating it. What remains to be seen is however, whether this neo-Nazi Hindutva fascism meets the same fate as did the Hitler's Nazism in Germany or not, and how soon.
