Afghanistan receives military equipment worth $1m from China

The Ministry of Interior (MoI) received military equipment worth $1 million from China on Saturday.

A statement released by the Minnistry of Interior (MoI) said the equipment package included 17 different types of military tools and equipment used for discovering narcotics and drugs.

The statement further added that ambassador of China to Afghanistan delivered the equipment to Ministry of Interior (MoI) during an event attended by senior MoI officials, including deputy interior minister for security Gen. Ayub Salangi.

Gen. Salangi thanked the Chinese government for assisting the Afghan police fores to increase their capabilities.

He said the government of Afghanistan remains committed to work closely with China to jointly fight against terrroism, specifically in conducting operations on bordering regions between the two countries.

In the meantime, the Chinese ambassador to Afghanistan said his country remains committed to further assist Afghan secrity forces by supporting the Afghan police forces.
