Ghani is a pragmatist and he is pursuing the path of development. From an economic point of view, Pakistan and Afghanistan compliment each other. Afghanistan is resource rich however it needs to be able to deliver to markets in Asia. Pakistan can provide a conduit through Gwadar port and though Chabahar port in Iran is an alternative, its a move that won't be viewed favorably in Middle East monarchies. There is no need to ruffle unnecessary feathers. On the other hand, Pakistan needs energy to reach its full potential and Afghanistan can play a vital role. Best to focus on development and trade.

Thank you Uncle SAM. This was a push from the US to Afghan's to establish military to military contacts and also buy stuff from each other so that people can get involved with economy and help grow business on both sides, and overcome difficulties.

Interaction between two neighbouring Muslim countries are always good, hopefully these will create military channels between the two countries which will serve as avenues to reduce tension and build understanding

Mine clearing equipment, some telecommunication system, training to start with at best. At later stage we may see some tanks and APC. Also remember that the Afghans will be left with a 5hit load of US weaponry and that will be enough for them for some time, these will include ground vehicles however.

I highly doubt the report about JF-17. Some trainers fitted with CAS weaponry are more likely.

Light arms like RPGs gunns Ammo .they not for high tech Ammo same like iraq US could not find ppl to fly F 16 s human resource is big issue for both Afghanistan & iraq .my take may tanks it's less high tech than high tech planes or other Arms .
