The Afghan Intelligence – National Directorate of Security (NDS) said Saturday that three Indian nationals abducted by Taliban militants were rescued following a special military operation. 
NDS following a statement said the three Indian nationals were working for OASIS company and were abducted by Taliban while they were on their way from Logar to capital Kabul.
The statement further added that Taliban militants were looking to take three abducted Indian nationals to Quetta city of Pakistan before they were freed by intelligence operatives.
NDS said the hostage were freed during an operation on Friday from Babos area of Logar province.
The statement also added that the three Indian nationals were engineers by profession and the Taliban militants were looking to take them to Quetta city through Maidan Wardak province.
A suspect was also arrested in connection to the abduction of the three Indian nationals, NDS said, adding that the operation was launched after gathering enough intelligence information regarding the incident.
The Taliban militants group has not commented regarding the report so far.
In the meantime, the Ministry of External Affairs of India has said that another Indian national Prem Kumar is still in captivity of the Taliban militants.
