The state of art by definition means
'the highest level of development, as of a device, technique, or scientific field, achieved at a particular time'.
This thread is about the state of art weapons and their anesthetic appeal. Although modern weapons are the most likely to be discussed here, but the images of all the weapons which fit the definition of the state of art in any time in history are welcome
so just discuss the aesthetics of the weapon and which country actually excelled in the aesthetic appeal of the weapons?
I think it is USA and then Russia, but this is only one opinion. To start, the most aesthetically discussed weapon platform- aircraft!:enjoy: >>>

In modern aircraft, F15 was the first fighter with the aesthetic appeal in my opinion.

But soon Mig 29 outclassed it in aesthetic appeal at least

Tornadoes also do not look very bad.

But British Spitfire was a beautiful state of art fighter in its time;, if not today they did have great aesthetic sense.
