Actress Megan Fox fired from Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon
Actress Megan Fox learned that the hard way after being fired from 'Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon' for upsetting Steven Spielberg.
Megan was dropped from the film franchise and her role of 'token hottie' was given to Victoria Secrets model Rosie Huntington-Whitely after she likened Michael Bay, the film's director, to Hitler in a magazine interview.
The comparison stirred the ire of Spielberg, who is executive producer on the 'Transformers' franchise and is extremely serious when it comes to Nazis after directing the Holocaust film, 'Schindler's List.'
In an interview before the premiere of 'Transformers 3,' Director Michael Bay revealed he was told to get rid of Fox.
"You know the Hitler thing. Steven (Spielberg) said, fire her right now."
The comment made the actress unpopular with the film's crew as well, with reports suggesting they likened her acting to that of a **** star.
After her firing, Megan attempted to save face, claiming she was no longer in the series as she wanted to pursue other projects.
While Bay said he wasn't hurt by the Hitler jibe, Spielberg is known to be sensitive when it comes to Nazis, starting the Survivors of the Shoah Visual History Foundation after directing 'Schindler's List' in 1993.
