Turkish F-16s are on their way to Pakistan for joint military exercise "ACES Meet-2018" with Pakistani Airforces which will be held at Mushaf Airbase in Sargodha from 12 October.

ACES Meet Tatbikatı

ANKARA (AA) – Türkiye ve Pakistan hava kuvvetleri unsurlarının katılımıyla düzenlenen ACES Meet Tatbikatı'nın, Türk Hava Kuvvetlerinden 3 F-16'nın katılımıyla sürdüğü bildirildi.



Genelkurmay Başkanlığının internet sitesinde yer alan duyuruda, tatbikatın Pakistan Sargodha Mushaf Hava Üssü'nde 12 Ekim'e kadar süreceği anımsatıldı.

Tatbikatın amacının, Türkiye ve Pakistan hava kuvvetleri arasındaki iş birliğinin artırılması, geliştirilmesi ve birlikte çalışabilirlik usullerinin denenmesi olduğu belirtilen duyuruda, tatbikata Türk Hava Kuvvetlerinden 3 F-16'nın katıldığı kaydedildi.

Öte yandan, Genelkurmay Başkanlığının Twitter hesabından tatbikata katılmak üzere havalanan Türk jetlerinin güzergah üzerinde havada yakıt ikmali yaparken çekilen fotoğrafı paylaşıldı.

Still a week to go before it kicks off, last year Saudis also participated. let's see who else turns up.
I can recheck, but as per the last update its only Turks who we would be seeing this time. Sad indeed.

I agree. If they extend invitations to more participating nations then the experience will be very much more beneficial especially if they bring in fighters. An interesting notion if they brought the US Marine Corps (based at Bahrain these days, but squadrons rotate between US and Japan) for a tactical exercise as they can benefit in the CAS platform from them....

Americans might visit Shehbaz AFB next year with their vipers.

I think PAF wanted an even bigger participation this year but could not get the affirmations in time.

They have brought Vipers before with ACC squadrons from USAF. I am talking about USMC AV-8B or Hornet squadrons (F-35B is out of the question for now) for CAS roles.....

Didnt Trump recently stop all training of Pakistan officers in the States? I don't see any good reason for us sending them invitations for joint military exercises until their anti-Pakistan policies changes.
