Temples can only be built if they are natives of land. Building Temples for foreigners is not allowed. In time of Prophet many came for trade to the land but temples were not built for every one I am not contradicting my self.

When we expect mosques to be built for Muslim foreigners in non Muslim countries then we should give same facility to non Muslims in Islamic countries. If someone work 10 years in UAE then he deserve place of worship no matter if he is native arabi or ajmi

Natives of the land complicates things, since in the modern context, native of a country is anyone with a citizenship. Granted, not many Arab countries offer citizenship.

Is the problem against idols per se or polytheism? Is worshiping the cross by Christians considered idol worship? I know Christians are closer to Islam in a religious sense.

And emiratis are far more influential than others in GCC when it comes to their dealings with India.
They are heavily investing in our projects,investing in our strategic oil reserve.After Emiratis ,Indians own major share of assets in UAE.
Big business tycoons is in there that has direct link with Indian Govt and politicians .
And you can see poor Indians also for now.
As per current estimate the flowing of Indians to GCC will drastically reduces within next 2 decades (except experts and professionals).Then they still need strong economic ties with India to maintain that influence .
And developments like this will keep successful Indians there .
So it is both cultural and strategic move
