Very good program. And I do agree with Nadeem on this that exports should have been on 28 B$ and not on 24 B$, but yes 4 B$ decrease in imports is surely a good step in the right direction.

Since the power/energy issue is now under control, I think government should incentivize Pakistani businesses who moved their business to Bangladesh, especially the textile industry that shifted to Bangla needs to come back to Pak.

watch this, junaid explains why our exports are not increasing.

Things would have been more rosy had we not had
1- circular debt
2- heavily discounted Metros
3- Orange train
4- White elephants like Pak steel, PIA, Pak Railway etc
5- Imports

Government is going in the right direction by decreasing imports and removing or lessening the losses via decreasing circular debt, increasing fares of metros and improving financial condition of white elephants. The speed is slow and we need to pick up on that.

Right direction
..

Prioritize SEZs and get some small to medium export oriented Chinese industries here asap

First time I've seen this guy talk and it's not very good too much "hope" "wait and see" "its a process" type talk. In the end he said some good things and some questions I think were unfair for his position however if he does not deliver he should be replaced ASAP.

they did not just shift for power issues but for the BD export quota in the western countries

No sir..we are locked in expensive power..which is regionally uncompetitive ..
The reason is industry is subsidizing the domestic users

PMLN went into expensive power production and undue favours to some companies giving ROI of almost 25% which is unreasonable

As many of you have pointed out, cosmetic changes and talk won't do jack shit.

We need STRUCTURAL REFORM at the very core.

this was such an unsatisfactory discussion, that way he's talking makes me think he doesn't have much of a plan to counter this current situation.
