A will made of steel and an aircraft made in Pakistan

well there are couple of companies who are doing there work in aerospace industry in Pakistan for example Integrated Dynamics, SATUMA and East and West, Integrated Dynamic is a Karachi-based private company that specializes in UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle). It has several models developed already that are working in the field...Similarly, The SATUMA lies 25 km out of Islamabad on the bank of river Soan with an engineering floor area of 5,000 Sq. ft. and a small airstrip for testing and evaluating scaled air frames, testing engines and other outdoor activities...East-West provides alot of the sophisticated electronic devices that go into these UAVs to track terrorists. Today there is a growing ecosystem for robotics and UAVs, with work also being done on UUVs (underwater unmanned vehicles) and ground recon robots....Pakistanis are doing pretty good job, as they were able to sell their UAVs to the US border patrol...and off course if we talk about plane manufacturing, MFI-17 Mushshak, K-8 Karakorum, MFI-395 and your truly JF-17 Thunder...I admit technology is not 100% manufactured locally except Mushshak Plane but still we are doing 90% of the manufacturing locally..

Both Mushahk and Super Mushak have imported Lycoming engines and thus are not 100% locally manufactured. Riveting and welding together a fifty year old design out of aluminum is no big deal.

@ the moment, we are not even capable to pencil a viable "design" (by our selves), let alone manufacture anything that actually takes to the skies.... stop being Iranian..... and more recently an Indian.... :D

Damn this thread enraged alot of non-pakistani members here. Maybe we should change the title:bounce:

What the hell I am seeing in this thread??? Pakistanis believing and liking a news posted in the so called propaganda Newspaper "Express Tribune"..

Another frustrated and jealous indian slum dog :D

. . . . .
I made a model airplane a while back. Weeee! I have an indigenous aerospace industry in my garage!

mine was fully indigenous. It was made of thermocol, rubberband and involved lot of heating the knife and cutting the thermocol. It flew 10 ft :P

My next aim is rubber band powered flight to next compound :P Thinking of patenting the size of rubber band :P

There is no point making an aeroplane that is not up to the mark. No one, including your own airlines or armed forces will buy it.

Research & manpower resources required for designing & building state of the art planes;whether commercial or military, trainer or transport; are beyond the wherewithal of a 3rd world country. Even advanced European nations need to pool their resources as in case of Airbus and Typhoon to compete with the US, France & Russia. China is slowly catching up but that is about it.

This because it is not only the wings & fuselage but also the engine and avionics that make a modern plane. Sweden had to buy engines from the US for her Grippen thus can’t sell it to anyone without US permission. Indian Tejas had to wait for US to let them have F404 engine before it could come into prodcution. Sino Pak JF17 is depended upon Russian engines.

This is a small hobby aircraft. At best, flying clubs or agriculture spraying companies may buy it. I don’t want to be little his efforts but the thread says that instrument panel and the engine is imported. How is the aircraft made in Pakistan?

Similar aircrafts have been available in the US for decades in kit form. People buy the kit and assemble it in their backyard. A good effort by a hardworking enthusiast and nothing to scream about.

Enraged,?this thread is a joke,It would be better for Pakistani members here if the moderators delete this thread.

Some one assembled a kit aircraft & then claim to be CEO of 'the, only private aerospace company in South Asia'..
