A Pakistani Strategic opportunity in Iran Crisis ...

I will try to bend Mastan Khan's idea from a pro-active Military operation in Yemen by Pakistan Military to a Defense of Pakistan and CPEC strategy while aligning with USA, KSA and UAE.

1. Pakistan requests for Electronic surveillance aircrafts or aerial electronic surveillance systems from USA. PAF starts conducting surveillance, monitoring and reporting of Iran's eastern border (along Pakistan). This not only helps in monitoring cross border movement from Iran but also helps in putting pressure back on Iran for cooperation with Pakistan. It could be required of Pakistan to give daily/weekly reports of its findings to GCC alliance or USA.

2.Meanwhile Pakistan enters a pact with UAE and KSA for military cooperation if IRGC attacks UAE or KSA and claim responsibility. PAF asks for aid worth 2 x squadrons of modern aircraft out of which 1 x squadron PAF will dedicate to fight IRGC under this pact, otherwise PAF can station these squadrons for own purposes. All the acquisition process, upkeep, maintenance, upgrades, pilot training for both squadrons will be funded by UAE and KSA, whether the jets are being used against Iran or at peace time or even in course of war against any other country .

3. PN asks for naval ships and maritime patrolling aircraft from USA, to not only protect Gwadar, but also to join KSA-UAE in joint patrolling of Gulf of Oman and Persian Gulf. This Task Force will be ready to retaliate if challenged by Iranian Navy.

4. Pakistan forms a Joint Disaster and Crisis rescue team with UAE and KSA, which assist in case of any more drone attacks (or any types of attacks) on any of the three countries (UAE, Pakistan, KSA).

5. Pakistan gets permission to open Military bases in both KSA and UAE, and could operate USA weapon systems (aircrafts, armored vehicles, ships) freely without sanctions at these bases.

6. In case of a full fledged attack by Iran on UAE or/and KSA; Pakistan will give access to UAE/KSA forces to operate from Pakistan's bases adjacent to Iran.

7. Pakistan approaches Israel to sign a pact not to conduct or support any type of missions against each other whether directly or indirectly (on behalf of a 3rd party or Country), since all the above actions will become advantageous for Israel as well.

You are asking for peanuts compared to the losses we will suffer from a potential US-Iran war, US-Afghan war lead to at-least a 80 billion dollar loss to the Pakistan's economy and 70k+ lives lost both within the military and civilian population and both the economy and military losses continues to this very day, a US-Iran conflict with us also complicit will concur losses to at-least 10 times the above values with also the potential of the Shia minorities rising in revolt if they see the Iran regime breaking away because as a Pakistani living in Pakistan I can without a shadow of doubt say for the majority of them Iran does equals Shiaism.

Alhamdulillah in the entire of Pakistan's history we never had a major sectarian conflict, this will create one and the loss to Pakistan from this will be incalculable, we did the right thing by staying neutral in the Yemen conflict, we will do the right thing again by staying neutral in this one as well.

it is repetition of kuwait iraq war and u.s will bomb the winning country like they did with iraq in 1991 although they were supporting sadam Hussain before war.this conflict will also lead to qatar and saudi war

Can't do much over here, no matter how many times we help Iran they will always backstab.

I think the main problem for Pakistan is that it has terrible diplomatic power. Regardless of what sort of regime ends up ruling Iran, Pakistani diplomats will find a way to not take advantage of it.

Also, I'm surprised how quite a few members here are very pro-annexation of part of or all of a country. Annexation has consequences, especially in this day and age. Remember that Iranians will not forgive anyone taking parts of their country, regardless of whether they're liberal or conservative. They'll be wanting it back, and they have the oil reserves to buy the necessary military power.

I have witnessed a record amount of sheer ignorance, hypernationalism (which naturally comes with stupid assessments) on this thread. It's just amazing how some people are so out of touch with reality.

maybe you can share some reality with us here :)

Most of the Pakistanis cannot name 10 cities in Iran. The search for persian strategic depth is a fools nightmare and there is no need to poke our nose around in others business.

Goodluck Iran.
Goodluck USA.
Goodluck GCC.
There are 90% american who cant name their capital lrave alone cities but they are ruling.

Liberalism has nothing to do with geopolitics lol. There are many liberal governments in the world that are against Pakistan and support India. The US has allies and puppets who are both conservatives and liberal. If you think a puppet Iran will have an Independent policy then your wrong. The US geopolitics are about containing China and Russia, that includes its allies Pakistan and Iran and to a lesser extent Turkey.

A liberal Iran will be be hardcore against the Islamic republic of Pakistan It will be hardcore against the Taliban in Afghanistan. It will follow what Afghanistan and India are saying about Pakistan that it funds terrorism. Maybe even an Indian base in Iran

Yes a puppet liberal Iran will be on a mission to prove how much of a puppet it can be like Saudi Arabia and finally stand up to the Muslim Brotherhood Erdogan.
Everything is not black and white in geopolitics either. The mindset of people in an area does have alot to do with geopolitics. A new reviving in iran would be secular and liberal but it has a history. Iran was secular under shah and after revival would influence the new foreign policy. Pakistan had good relations with them. After all didn't pakistan have good relations with secular Turkey? My point is it would be better regime than current one.
A regime that has expansionist intentions is dangerous, current Iranian regime has every intention of that.

USA has power of printing press

You did not understand my point.

The USA has lost in Afghanistan. In Iraq they had to start paying the militias monthly salaries in order to stop them from attacking the Americans.

The $10 Trillion question is who financed the proxy war against the USA in Afghanistan, and how!
