Maybe you should become an advisor to PM Hassina. Whenever your country faces attacks why point the finger at Pakistan? Your only doing so because of India? Which clearly demonstartes New Delhis firm grip over Bangladesh. Bangladesh is increasingly becoming a new hotbed of Hindu extremism with the BJP launching its own political wing. Do not lecture Pakistanis try to lecture your own masses who elect a PM who has deep rooted hatred for Pakistan. Your PM is hooked on destroying any chance of the two countries having any normal ties hence BD is under the direct influence of Hindustan.Let me re-phrase this further by saying that our indigenization of basic weapons should be helped primarily by Turkish (aerospace, naval) and Pakistani (infantry, armor, missile) sources in addition to China, which is continuing.
Indigenization (becoming self-sufficient) in weapons technology should be a NUMBER ONE thrust sector, not only for our own defense needs, but for export possibilities to Africa and South America as well. We are doing some of it, but even compared to Pakistan, we are so far behind.
We should have become self-sufficient in basic armor weapons such as MBT's, Armored Transport, Howitzers, MRAPs, Armored Anti-tank Missile platforms a LONG time ago, either through ToT or self-development. More than enough expertise exists locally to make that happen. That successive govts. continued to neglect this sector is SHAMEFUL to say the least.
I think you are listening too much to the religious zealots' brainwashing in Pakistan. Over 70% of the women in Bangladesh won't be wearing hijabs (probably as much if not more than Pakistan) if Bangladeshis had religiously or culturally "nothing in common with Pakistan" and had "aligned themselves with Narinder Modis Hindustan". One can be Islamic-minded without being extremists in any country. We proudly maintain and will enforce (by blood if necessary) our own religious and cultural identity instead of someone trying to impose something on us which is not ours.
Since Bangladesh economy is now is at par with - if not better than in Pakistan, it is high-time for some extremists in Pakistan to let go of their prejudices and the tired old 'bhukhey nangey' Bangali and other patronizing stereotypes some Pakistanis still harbour about Bangladesh (which was a racial misnomer anyways). In the long run - this type of attitude won't help Pakistanis as far as trade and other ties.
Few in Bangladesh (if any) harbor any anti-Pakistani feelings now (1971 was a long time ago which current generation Pakistanis had no part in perpetrating), and those people in Bangladesh who do harp about 1971, do so because of 'Political Faida'. I don't see Pakistanis bad-mouth Malaysians or Indonesians, then why us? It only helps the seated political party in Bangladesh in furthering its agenda which most Bangladeshis are not so much in agreement with.
Like I said, our indigenization of self-sufficiency in basic weapons should be primarily helped by Turkish (aerospace, naval) and Pakistani (infantry, armor, missile) sources for ToT in addition to balancing the rest of our advanced technology arms-supply relationship between China and the West. This way we help our fellow Muslim countries for basic weapons as well as balance out arms sourcing and ToT from more advanced technology sources.
This needs to be diversified as well. We need to supply not only basic unskilled labor to some countries but also specialized expertise such as doctors and engineers to those Middle Eastern, African and South American countries which agree to our basic set of requirements and standards concerning safety and personal security.
