A Historical Background of Indian Aggression in Nepal

Give credit to India to create a country like BD and save you people from the biggest massacre and rape of the millennium.

Give credit to the mighty Bangladeshis also. They created the country called India today.

India didn't create BD rather it dismembered Pakistan. And we could have become independent without india's help,it would take just longer time but it could. So not much credit to to India.:no:

Forgive us for not understanding fake "Indian" logic and missing it by galaxies diameter.

Because this logic can only be understood by those taught in Indian schools with distorted history books, fooling the public in believing that fake "India" is the real inheritor of the indigenous civilization.

As said before, you are free to believe whatever you want to, but do not expect others to buy this :-)
Na hanyate, na hanyamane sharire.

South Asian regional Politics is nothing but game of Bullying. India Bully Nepal and Bangladesh and try to Bully Srilanka Pakistan and Maldives as well but in the end Pakistan Introduce bigger Bully China in to the equation and Srilanka and Maldives followed the same later and India went a foot Back and start whining till USA came along to support India against China and then China brought Russia Close and restart the chain once again.
Pakistan introduced bigger bully ? Do you know the volume of trade between India and China ?

Actually Pakistan has helped Sri Lanka a lot. At least they didn't arm, train and fund one of the world's deadliest terrorist groups in SL like India did.
You are nothing but a pesky little lankan, most probably a descendant of the demonic race that was mentioned in the Ramayana:lol:!So,we don't literally don't give a flying fcuk to what you guys think of us!Indian Ocean is India's Ocean and by the grace of the Supreme Lord we will maintain this status quo in the foreseeable future. Now you can start crying river here but it won'tr change the reality that We and only We are the masters of the Indian Ocean:azn:!!

I suppose the term you should be using then is imaginary rather than artificial. Anyway, the term India was just a term for the Indian Subcontinent, the Republic of India just decided to take it's name from there. If they decided to take a different name instead of India, then I suppose the term India can still be used instead of the Indian subcontinent or South Asia. Why some Indians still use the other outdated definition is beyond me.
maybe they try to adhere to their old roots, old heritage when this place (mind you, i have not used the word country) was still a loose geographical entity but united by similar beliefs, similar traditions and most importantly, dharmic religions.
off course, not all ppl think that way.
but it wud be tad difficult for you to understand because, somewhere down the line, ur ancestor refused to be a part of the local heritage and accepted to be a part of an imported heritage.
having said this, i agree with the first part of ur post explaining the term "india" and the south Asian subcontinent it refers to.

For me it is because I look at it in a political basis rather than a cultural basis. Even so, it is undeniable that Islam even outside Pakistan and my own country has a cultural influence on the other parts of the subcontinent. That being said, I have a large amount of respect and admiration for Dharmic faiths despite being raised a Muslim. And I do love and respect India in a cultural view. Politically is where my view changes a bit.

Ohh well, politically it's a whole different story.
India is rather a union/ federation of states rather than a single country, so is almost every other country in South Asia. We can't break them all into small nation states to be politically correct.
Contrary to ur thinking, I believe, Indian Union makes more sense politically than culturally. Culturally, it's a wonder that India is still a single country.
Regarding overly patriotic Indians who propagate the idea of akhand Bharat, are wat i said ---- overly patriotic.
There are still some watsapp messages doing rounds, showing the dates when a particular region of South Asia / India was lost to Muslim domination. Would u or I will be able to understand that ??? I don't think so.

Fair post.. Only thing i disagree with is your term "Overly patriotic" Indians and their idea of Some thing Bharat, The more appropriate term would be "Delusionaly jingoistic" Indians

India's updated political map stirs controversy in Nepal
Both New Delhi and Kathmandu lay claim to a region, known as Kalapani, as part of their countries' territory.

India's new political map has stirred controversy in Nepal, with both New Delhi and Kathmandu laying claim to a region, known as Kalapani, as part of their countries' territory.

Members of the opposition parties protested in the capital Kathmandu as well as other parts of the country, accusing India of "illegally occupying" its land.

More:
On Thursday, students linked to the opposition Nepali Congress party protested outside the Indian embassy in Kathmandu, carrying signs that read: "Back Off India", to protest against the map, bringing back the memory of anti-India protests in the wake of the 2015 border blockade imposed by India.

Nepalese took to social media backing their government's claim that Kalapani - a 35 square-kilometres (13.5 square-miles) area in Nepal's far-western region - belonged to the landlocked Himalayan nation with hashtags #BackoffIndia and #Kalapani trending on Twitter.

Once serving as a trade route between India and what is now southwestern China, the strategic area was "occupied" by India after New Delhi withdrew its border forces following its war with China (in 1962), according to Buddhi Narayan Shrestha, former director general of Nepal's Survey Department.

Kalapani is the land of Nepal and our party stands firm on this conviction. India is continuously trying to settle this issue but we won't go back in our claim.

"The Nepal government firmly believes that the Kalapani is a part of Nepal," Nepal's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement on Wednesday.

However, a spokesman of India's Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) claimed the region was part of India.

"Our map accurately depicts the sovereign territory of India. The new map in no manner has revised our boundary with Nepal," said MEA spokesman Raveesh Kumar.

He reiterated India's "commitment to find a solution through dialogue in the spirit of our close and friendly bilateral relations".

"At the same time, both countries should guard against vested interests trying to create differences between our two countries."

Boundary dispute
Kalapani, which borders the Indian state of Uttarakhand, is also included in Nepal's official map. Uttarakhand shares an 80km long porous border with Nepal and a 344km border with China.

"Kalapani is the land of Nepal and our party stands firm on this conviction. India is continuously trying to settle this issue but we won't go back in our claim," Narayan Kaji Shrestha, a spokesman of the ruling Nepal Communist Party, told Al Jazeera.

India's Ministry of Home Affairs published an updated map on Sunday after stripping the Indian-administered Kashmir's special status and splitting the Himalayan region into two federally administered territories in August.

Kathmandu and New Delhi have held a series of talks to resolve the boundary dispute, but Kalapani and the Susta area in southern Nepal remain two major sticking points in negotiations, Gokul Prasad Baskota, Nepal's communication and information technology minister, told Anadolu news agency.

Nepal also lays claim to Lipulekh Pass close to Kalapani with a T-junction on the trading route between India and China since 2015.

Bipin Adhikari, a constitutional expert, said; "If you go through historical proofs then it is clear that Kalapani is a part of Nepal. It is an illegally occupied territory."

India and Nepal share an 1,800km (1,118 miles) open border, with thousands of people from both countries crossing the frontier for work and travel.

Relations between the two countries were strained after Nepal blamed India for imposing a border blockade in 2015, which crippled supplies to the landlocked nation.

Many experts in Nepal believe that India has not honoured the 1950 Treaty of Peace and Friendship between the two countries.
