BHARAT- official name in constitution, name during mahabharat era .
INDIA - given by Europeans and west to refer people on the other side of indus river.
HINDUSTAN- given by arabs to refer the people living beyond sindhu river . (indus )

. .
Then why use India every where?

The country's name in Hindi (which is a co-official language with English) is Bharat. This is from the Sanskrit name Bharata for the land that is now South Asia. ... In English it is India, which is derived from Hindu (as the Persians called it) which is derived from Indu/Sindhu. Hindu-”Stan” is a Persian suffix.

What is the official name?
Official names. The "Bhārat Gaṇarājya" (भारत गणराज्य Bhārat Gaṇrājya (Hunterian), short: Bhārat, also spelled as Bhārata) and its transliteration "Republic of India" (short: India) are the official names adopted by the Government of India in the Hindi and English languages respectively.

What about Hindustan, India?
A convention of some sort has developed

1. India - Official name , given in constitution. Used in all official documents in English language. Used by common citizens too.

2. Bharat - Official name , given in constitution. Used in all official documents in Hindi language. Used by Hindi press too. Much less used than India by general public.

3. Hindustan - Unofficial name. Never used in any official document. Used mainly in movies and stuff. Hardly used by general public.

Popularity wise - India > Bharat > Hindustan.

Hope it helps.

All i have to say to you on this thread is that you do not start troll threads, insult others and keep trolling until some barks at your religion, which by the way is not JUST YOURS, and then report them. That is troll bait! Its offensive. Let us all be reasonable. I hope you can will understand what i am saying. If you have any problems talk to me in PM (on served warning), my profile or a GHQ thread if you want, i will try to help you out. Let me know if you want me to add @waz (who i know would have done the same thing i did after seeing all the posts in this thread)

Also i will thank all Indian members who despite your desperate attempts to troll kept their cool and explained to you the three names of their country.
