91% support banning Chinese apps,69% approve PM Modi's handling of China

India and Indian war mongering threatens to plunge the region with a reset of 100 years.

Indian firms should develop super apps similar to WeChat & AliPay which will primarily cater to Indian users.

Sure there's no one stopping them from developing apps catering to an Indian audience. But this trade ban will boomerang on India in the long run: it will block the access of Indian companies to major world markets where the Chinese have a lot of influence. And that's really all the countries of SE Asia for starters!

Only if Indian people were mature enough to separate Chinese military activities in Galwan Valley with Chinese companies.

I, for one, don't care about most of these apps like Tik-Tok, Weibo etc. as it took me a long time to warm up to smartphones. Believe it or not, I wasn't using a smartphone until 2018.

Now that Reliance Jio has captured the lion's share in India's telecom market and recently launched the Jio Chat and Jio Meet on the lines on whatsapp and zoom, these should give a start and eventually integrate payments, food delivery, cabs, services etc.

I think the monopoly of Reliance Jio is not a good development for India. The consumers there will now not have too much choice. A competitive environment was better.

Also, how does it personally benefit you that the Ambanis are minting money from this monopoly? Do you work at Reliance Industries?

Google Pay, Phone Pe and PayTM are the top three mobile payment platforms with the later two being Indian. If Reliance Jio buys off either of the later two and incorporate into their Jio Chat, that should give them a good head start

Wake up..PayTM is a Chinese app despite their founder. Remember Alibaba Group.

Never heard of PhonePe as I don't live in the country.
