Rome wasn't built in a day and the issue of poverty will not vanish overnight either.
Members here can speculate all they want and turn this into a shit shoveling contest.
But point is that India has taken massive steps to find solutions to uplift people from the clutches of poverty.
Corruption on an institutional level has obviously been the main road bump to overall development.
At the end of the day, it is Indians who need to be satisfied with the progress made by their elected officials, NOT some randoms on an online forum. Steps like demonetization and the Aadhar Card (we can argue about its merit and execution) gives Indians some confidence in their govt.
A lot more needs to be done, but at least we are taking bold steps and that's what is required.
Personally, I think the thread's purpose is to simply make a mockery of Indian poverty, nothing else. If this makes some sleep better at night, who am I to spoil their party?
I would just request Indian members from shit shoveling as a counter response or risk playing into the hands of the OP.
Don't laugh. It is not a laughing matter and neither are we joking.
India has serious poverty issues and we are simply highlighting the factors that are keeping India impoverished. You'll agree that caste plays a major role in the impoverishment?
Caste based discrimination has been banned by the constitution. So what else can be done? Please do tell us.
Instead of highlighting, if you're genuine about this not being a "laughing matter" for you, how about you provide us with some possible solutions?
Nothing you're saying is news to us...so again, what is the purpose of highlighting? How is this going to help us solve our problems?
