Iranian soldiers killed on Pakistan border | News | DW.DE | 07.04.2015

Iranian news agencies are reporting that gunmen have killed eight Iranian guards, The incident occurred near the border with Pakistan in the southern Sistan-Baluchistan province.


The guards clashed on Monday with Sunni rebels, who had come in from neighboring Pakistan, according to Iran's IRNA news agency.

The southeastern province of Sisan-Baluchistan, which has a large Sunni community, has experienced repeated attacks my militants on mainly Shiite Iran's security forces.

"Armed terrorists entered Iran from Pakistan and clashed with border guards, killing eight soldiers before fleeing back to Pakistan," said Ali Asghar Mirshekari, deputy governor of Sistan-Baluchistan.

Iran's semi-official Fars news agency said four of the eight soldiers killed were conscripts.

There was a second incident reported from the region earlier on Monday. IRNA said Iran's Revolutionary Guards killed and detained members of a militant group linked to a "foreign intelligence" agency, also confiscating weapons and communications equipment.

My observation is that the violence there has gone up since the 1.5 billion dollar Saudi aid to Pakistan last year. It makes perfect sense for Saudis to keep the already thinly stretched Iranians busy at home in the crazy middle east madness.

Stop with the chest thumping please. Instead of going to Yemen and bombing Yemenis, tell Nawaz Sharif to spend some of the money he gets from Saudis to get rid of domestic terrorist.

You can't launch a military attack against another country while you can't get rid of vermin in your home. It's beyond ridiculous.

You just find it embarrassing to admit what I'm saying, that's it. Otherwise there is no reason for Iran to cause unrest in Pakistan's baluchestan which directly affects Iran itself. There is no proof either. You just had to come up with this lame excuse to cover for your incompetency.
