may be in last attack some were captured alive, who spilled the milk. Also, look at photos. It seems, for photoshoot, army brought a drone too . So, perhaps new toys and SIGINT have made that possible.

It's a bit of both.

All intel agencies monitor cells in the hopes of catching a big fish / facilitators / etc. It's a fine balance, since sometimes you wait too long. Other times, it leads to an even more meaningful IBO that captures/kills a commander or identifies safehouses, comms links, etc.

I guess its an open secret now. May be the Pindi uncles were too accommodating to IK's vision of "negotiations".But ever since the Noshki attack when the terries came close to the family accomodations, I guess the thought of another APS was the last straw.
