KHYBER AGENCY: Six militants were killed and five injured on Friday when gunship helicopters pounded their hideouts near Akka Khel area of Bara Tehsil, in Khybar Agency, Radio Pakistan reported.

The strikes also reportedly destroyed a number of hideouts of militants in the area.

The strikes and the damage they caused could not be immediately independently verified.

Earlier in the week, six militants belonging to Lashkar-e-Islam were killed when two Pakistan Air Force jet fighters pounded militant hideouts in the Kharmatang and Akka Khel area.

The strikes also razed two hideouts to the ground.

Continuous military operations in the area have forced its residents to seek temporary refuge elsewhere.

Well you propose a similar logic against US actions in Afghanistan. you say US's collateral damage increases terrorism, but in Pakistan there is no collateral damage as everyone the army is fighting against are terrorists.

Remind of the faithful day when in Damadola, madrassa was bombed by drones and ISPR took credit. Since, then the pashtun tribes murdered many Pakistani soldiers.

So, its not that simple.

There are foreign criminals, but the question is as why the army has not been able to root them out after 9 years.

what would happen in 2014? And who is a Taliban sympathizer?

You and I did not create the Taliban in Afghanistan or Pakistan. We did not setup unregistered madrassas and gave them unlimited financial freedom.

And if you think 2014 wold bring peace, thats a bit over optimistic approach. Just pray that afghanistan does not plunge into a civil war.

Security forces kill 28 militants in Khyber, FR Kohat

KHYBER AGENCY: At least twenty-eight militants were killed and six security personnel martyred when security forces clashed with the militants in Khyber Agency and FR Kohat, Geo News reported Saturday.

According to sources close to security forces, ten extremists were killed when security personnel battled with the terrorists in Akka Khel area of Bara Tehsil and also destroyed their two hideouts. Two security men were also martyred during the clashes.

On the other hand, 18 militants have so far been killed in the on-going clashes in Kharmatang area of FR Kohat while Pakistan Air Force fighter jets pounded militant compounds and razed two hideouts to the ground.

During the battle, four security men were also martyred in FR Kohat
