SRINAGAR: Srinagar: An infiltration bid by terrorists has been foiled in Jammu and Kashmir's Tangdhar sector, the army has said.

The terrorists from Pakistan Occupied Kashmir were trying to slip into the area near the Line Of Control, news agency Press Trust of India quoted an official as saying.

One soldier has died in the operation and one has been injured. The injured soldier has been evacuated, the official said. The operation was in progress and further details were awaited, he added.

Earlier today, a Border Security Force personnel died when Pakistani Rangers fired a motor shell on a BSF post at Abdullian in RS Pora sector, said Danish Rana, a senior police officer in Jammu. Jitender Singh, 46, is the third BSF man to be killed in Pakistani shelling in last five days.

Eight civilians including four women were also injured in the Pakistani firing today. In the past one week, a six-year-old child was killed and 30 other civilians have been injured in shelling from across the border. The army says Pakistan also violated the ceasefire along the Line Control at Sunderbani and they retaliated.

Suddenly there seems to be a surge in Indian casualties, only God in heavens knows whether these are happening due to increased hostilities or Whether the Indian army is trying to adjust it's earlier losses it suffered during the so called surgical strikes.

by the way there is a need to educate and learn the concept of infiltration into Indian side of LoC
its a 5 to 6 tier security cordon which the Indians alleges on Pakistan every time whenever there is an attack on its bases like Pathankot or Uri base.

I would invite Indians to educate us first .. what kind of setup they have and correct us if our information is correct or not and then work with us.. logically and rationally to understand how Kashmiris manage to defeat those multi tier security measures.

which include

upload_2016-10-27_17-10-1.png

electrocuted electric fence which is many meters high
then barbed and razor sharp wires
many hundred meters of minefields
heavily armed combat patrols
heat signature and motion sensors
night vision equipped sniper towers
periodic bunkers with tens of thousands of Indians across the entire LoC
flood light towers
areal surveillance to add it on top

despite that.. if these extraordinary kashmiris manage to defeat all these multi tier security measures then Indians should kiss Kashmir goodbye

only a Super Human can cross these hurdles.. Indians would round up some locals and shoot them dead and claim that they were crossing the LoC and it is one of those lies which was rubbished by the Kashmiris together with the brutal death of Wani which stirred a fresh wave of violent protests in the occupied Valley

There is no such news in our news channels regarding killing of 5 indian soldiers. Or maybe i missed it??? :undecided:
So much wrong info & many people following facebook videos and saying one liner "Mashallah" , "Alhamdulillah" without even putting effort to find a single credible source.
"Bholi awam"

So why the double standards?

Secondly, ever since surgical strikes, even though there is so much firing taking place on LoC.. Pakistan has only admitted civilians being killed and not single Pakistani soldier has been killed or injured.
Are Pakistanis soldiers made from bullet proof materials , that every time a bullet hits them, it deflects back and either hits the Indian soldier, who fired it or a Pakistani civilian??
Those Indian soldiers who crossed the LOC without being detected by sensors and highly alert disciplined troops during those surgical strikes, tell me was it the DRDO or Mumbia IIT who developed their advanced cloaking devices and I want to congratulate the chief scientist who developed this technology, surely he will win the 2017 Noble prize in physics, no question about it:lol::lol:

Yup... fake encounters to cover up their dead.. how else will they cover up the killings on LOC?

They deny everything... ironically they have been busted with their pants down.. but hey they are shameless... so no problem.

Can it be a cross border attack or a normal cease fire violation

There are porous areas in the border due to terrain and also constant firing from pakistani areas when such areas are attempted to be fenced.

Some areas in the border and LOC remain easy to breach due to terrain, inadequate fencing, lack of electronic monitoring and lack of patrol frequency. So yes there is a big blame on the Indian side to not take adequate measure to protect the LOC/ IB.

As far as education on type of security cordon, it would be violation of security protocols to provide any related data which is susceptible to breach by the "Non State Actors", so neither will the GoI or any sane minded Indian would educate anyone type of countermeasures in the terrorism affected areas.

As far as base attacks are involved they are often breached exactly as PAF Minhas Base or PN'S Mehran Base, or Camp Bastion attack have been perpetrated. It shouldn't be a surprise that larger sized bases always have vulnerabilities that are associated with it's location, terrain, and security protocols.

may i direct a counter question to you, where do the "Kashmiri Mujhahideen" get their sat phones, rations, type 56's, AKM's, RPK's, chinese clone Pso 1 scopes, 7.62x 39 ammunition, PoF marked hand grenades from?

It is only a one sided report, I think it was the usual cross border fire using the AA rounds and maybe broke through a bunker; nothing was "destroyed".

This report suggests it is a cross border attack/raid which is massive

What is the right section for this thread

Lo yeh kiya idhar kiyon merge kardi thread ??
These are two different incidents
As it is part of the strong of cross border incidents; and this is a Indian Media report.. it is best to keep the incidents merged.

This is a very consistent pattern. Happened during ceasefire violations committed by both sides between 2009 to 2012. Whereas they fire on our positions and kill mostly civilians (these a-holes killed a toddler 24 hours ago) -- we retaliate and hit their soldiers only.

We need to move AZAD Kashmiri residents farther from the LoC and surrounding areas.

At any rate I welcome this news, it's a good revenge for their sins. Allahu Akbar.

LOC sae yaad aya Can any member tell me what happened to the Indian soldier which was caught by Pakistan army ?

he's in our custody as a "POW" (quotations emphasized, as we are not TECHNICALLY at war)

There is no way a surgical strike could have taken place without Indian casualties. Plus the story has changed continuously by the Indians. Any denying you are branded anti national.

Michael Kugelman of that Woodrow Wilson Center wrote an interesting anecdotal piece about this underlying a strikingly similar point that you are making.

The Second round of hostilities has just begun

I say that because now NSA and Defence Minister are getting involved

Till yesterday only local commanders were handling it

I dont have the information but just basing off my own assessment.

We did no cross border attack (in which we sent troops across)....I doubt it....probably just retaliatory firing in which our jawans' exhibited excellent marksmanship
