Last night Shi Jinglin was in a triple-tie for the bronze medal in the women's 200m breastroke. Congratulations!
China's total medals for swimming is now at 11, they already surpassed their medal haul in the last edition with 2 days left of competition.

I think it's highly possible that the maximum number of gold medals that team US will get is 10, that will be their worst performance since 1994. Absence of Phelphs surely hurt their cause.

Also, not only China but Britain and Australia as well are having a very good performance in this edition.

He was not chosen by the USA swimming to represent the US in this world championship as a sort of punishment, Phelps was arrested last september 2014 for driving under the influence of alcohol. I believe it was the second time he was arrested for such offense.
