What's new

4 FC soldiers martyred, 6 injured in terrorist attack on Pak-Afghan border, 3 Soldiers martyred and 6 Injured in Waziristan.

And what is our response to all of this? Absolutely pathetic!

We have registered a very strong protest with Afghan govt which will ensure no such incident happens again in future as previous protests were not strong enough but this time our military elite took special care to make it very strong.

Four Frontier Corps (FC) soldiers were martyred while six others were injured after terrorists ambushed them during a fencing activity at the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, the military's media wing said in a statement on Wednesday.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that the troops were moving for fencing activity along the border in the Manzakai sector in Balochistan's Zhob when "terrorists from Afghanistan ambushed" them.

FC troops responded to the attack promptly, it said.

The injured soldiers were evacuated to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Quetta, the ISPR added.

The martyred soldiers include Havaldar Noor Zaman, Sepoy Shakeel Abbas, Sepoy Ehsan Ullah, and Naik Sultan.

Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid condemned the attack, terming it "very saddening".

"Terrorists cannot dampen the courage of Pakistan's forces. Fencing work at the Pakistan-Afghanistan border will be completed under any condition," he emphasised in a tweet.

In October of last year, a soldier was martyred and another wounded when terrorists fired gunshots from across the Pak-Afghan border on the Pakistan Army post in Bajaur. Another such attack had taken place a month earlier in which a soldier was martyred as well.

After the September attack, the ISPR director general had said that the issue of border management had been raised with Afghan authorities multiple times to prevent the use of the neighbouring country's soil for attacks against Pakistan.

Are we so resource less that even a drone could not be deployed to watch any hostile activity in area, when sons of the soil are busy in the task at ground.

There is a pattern, whenever there is a severe clash in Afghanistan, Pakistani borders areas are targeted in a revenge. For the last few days, there is some intense fighting going on in Afghanistan whilst US withdrawl and now Pakistani soliders are explicitly targeted. I think TTP attacks Pakistani forces whenever they get a knot from main stakeholders in Afghanistan which are US and Kabul regime.

Two Generals who took extension in PA, later becomes docile and not just that but the security situation becomes bad to worse, Kiyan and Bajwa. What a horrible leadership PA is suffering from, if any of such happen in US, the Top brass of US Armed forces or Commanders will be presenting in Congress and held accountably, but its Pakistan and foot soldiers lives are cheap, cheaper than a DHA plot. No offense to any Serving or Ex-Army but Army is becoming docile and too involved in Business hence they are not focusing on basic security parameters.

Alot of people are idiots and they mouth off

This is simply the afghani state trying to hurt Pakistan as revenge

And we need to humilate and break Afghanistan as well as the Hindus

Both the Hindus and afghanis are our enemies

We have Generals that do not care about Pakistan. We have suffered dozens of casualties the last few days and the only thing Bajwa can think of is to go to Saudi Arabia. I bet you he is discussing plans to work for them once he retires. Giving him an extension was the worst decesion imran khan made. This is a clear example of how our generals and corp commanders are completely out of touch with the common soldiers/people of the nation. When the backbone of the nation and main recruiting grounds of the army ie Punjab is becoming so anti-general then that when you know youve failed big time.

Economy is disarray is understandable as those things take time. But a security situation you were handed was great and you could have made it much better. Instead Bajwa completely blew it. Even Ayub Khan had more brain cells than him. If he has any self respect left then please Bajwa resign move to KSA let someone who is capable take charge.

In that case, they should move a few dozen SH-15 Howitzers to the hot spots; along the border. Build fire bases and give the men rocket assisted rounds so they can hit targets not only 20 km away with regular rounds but 50 km away with rocket assisted rounds. Where this is not as feasible give the men highly accurate or guided MBRLs.

Also do a rush order from China for surveillance aerostats similar to what they have deployed in the South China Sea on Mischief Reef. Rig them with not just camera but electronic means to detect hostile comms

have a fleet of UAVs on standby to fly to an area under attack, and give data to allow the howitzers to do there thing

finally, build up an affordable and therefore sustainable medievac capability from the border or Remote areas. If helicopters are to expensive to be procured in large numbers, get gyrocopter ambulances like the C44 gyro plane. Build the road infrastructure to accommodate takeoffs and landings

the troops need to know, they have air cover, have someone to call to when under attack, and if hurt can be evaluated. Learning this now can pay dividend in the future, probably in ways we won’t be able to imagine.

for the army, not only will they be supporting the mission, but it’s good training for a conventional war and build up experience with the kill chain and target discrimination (civilian from armed person; and further armed hostile vs armed non-hostile)

the Chinese could be invited to observe the SH-15 howitzers and in exchange supply the ammunition to test in these “border enforcement activities”

I guess thousands of Paksitani troops/FC/Levies being killed in the last 2 decades due to AFGHUNIS and BALOCHI BLA/BLP/ETC terrorist was not enough to meet their requirement.

Yet still even 50+ of our children being murdered was not enough, the chinese ambassador being out closest alley being targeted as well as their consulate attacked a few years ago was not enough when 100+ BN of chinese investment and most importantly our PERCEPTION/REPUTATION IS ON THE LINE.

We let a failed shithole like GUNISTAN determine our trajectory.

Yet our Generals are supposed to be "MASTER STRATEGIST" who are master minds of geo political dominance in afghanistan :D

FROM NIGERIA TO EGYPT TO ALGERIA TO GCC TO TURKEY TO IRAN TO ALL CENTRAL ASIANS STANS TO MALDIVES TO BANGLADESH TO MALAYSIA TO INDONESIA ARE MUSLIM NATION WHO ARE DEVELOPING SIGNIFICANTLY NOT JUST IN ECONOMY BUT LITERACY, MORALITY RATE, PPP, INCOME, GPD, HUMAN DEVELOPMENT INDEX.

SADLY WE ARE THE ONLY MUSLIM NATION (COUNT OUT THE AFGUNIS) IN THE MIDDLE OF ALL THESE NATIONS GEOGRAPHICALLY WHO HAVE MADE 0 PROGRESS SINCE 2008. INFACT WE HAVE WENT DOWN IN MOST WAYS.

YET PAKISTAN IS THE LONE NATION THAT HAS BEEN HEADED AND IS STILL HEADED TOWARDS THE HUMAN DEVELOPMENT LEVEL OF SUBHARA AFRICA AND THAT TO WITH A POPULATION OF 200+ MILLION. ONLY BECUZ WE COMPARE AND GET BULLIED BY AFGUNI IRANI TERROR.

A soldier was injured after terrorists opened fire from across the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in the Bajaur district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa late on Friday night, the military's media affairs wing said in a statement.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that terrorists from the Afghan side of the international border opened fire on a military checkpost in Pakistan.

Pakistani troops responded promptly to the attack, the ISPR said, adding that a soldier was injured in the exchange of fire.

In its statement, the ISPR said Pakistan has "consistently been requesting Afghanistan to ensure effective border management".

"Pakistan strongly condemns the use of Afghan soil by terrorists for activities against Pakistan," it added.

This is the second such incident to take place this week. On Wednesday, four Frontier Corps (FC) soldiers were martyred while six others were injured after terrorists ambushed them during a fencing activity along the Pak-Afghan border in the Manzakai sector in Balochistan's Zhob.

After that attack, the Afghanistan embassy had been asked to convey Pakistan's concerns to the relevant authorities in the country to "undertake effective measures against organised groups of terrorists operating from Afghan soil, follow mutually agreed protocols and SOPs and avoid recurrence of such incidents in future", according to the Foreign Office.

In October of last year, a soldier was martyred and another wounded when terrorists fired gunshots from across the Pak-Afghan border on the Pakistan Army post in Bajaur. Another such attack had taken place a month earlier in which a soldier was martyred as well.

As the United States begins withdrawing its troops from Afghanistan, there are fears that violence will increase and could also spill over to neighbouring states, including Pakistan. Violence against Afghans has escalated starkly in recent weeks, with more than a hundred Afghan security force personnel killed.

Earlier this month, Pakistan along with the US, China and Russia urged the Afghan government and the Taliban to ensure that Afghan soil is not used to threaten the security of any other country.

"We call on all Afghans including the government of the Islamic Republic and the Taliban to ensure that terrorist groups and individuals do not use Afghan soil to threaten the security of any other country," they said in a joint statement issued in Washington.

By now there should been a cross border strike in fact strikes but Alas!

The military budget is easily over 9+bn USD per year. Where the hell is all this money going? no new helicopters, no new attack helicopters, no new assault rifles, no new UCAV drones, etc... If you take into consideration the last 4 years defence budget spent would be atelast 35+ bn...

Must be going into the pocket of certain "Generals"
