sir, your old enough member on this Forum and might went though JFT Threads, The Aircraft itself is good enough 4 Gen and no need to be explained what it comes with or offered and what is not offered and what are it's limitation. Mig-29 has its own limitation being gas guzzler short legged for its self and for any extended maritime ops BD would definitely require in the future a couple of Air Refuellers. Malaysian have tons of money they rejected Mig-29s figure out why so. Regardless whether the future is Flankers or Fulcrums they would be downgraded than indian variants be assured. As you said it don't meet BAF requirements but could you enlighten us does a downgraded Flanker/Fulcrum would meet requirement because anything you get from russians would be discussion with your bordering neighbor namely hindustan, it has been like for ages they are critically important ally of russians. Another Question would an aircraft low cost along with all the armament BAF requires be a better option or an aircraft whose source codes for radar/weapons could be provided to hindustan in any conflict is a better option?.. There is absolutely no credible information if FC-1 or Pak variant JF-17 has ever been offered and will not be offered due to the current regime it is not BAF that rejects it, the fact is it has not been offered at all the whole talk is "lets say" a waste of time. The only option BAF has is Flanker/Fulcrum on the Chinese side they play safe you might not get hold of J-10 ever before you are asked to buy FC-1s to replace a few F-7s that is how market is, no easy cake.
I think you are being defensive here.
The Indians already have aircraft like the SU-30MKI and look like they will be inducting the Rafale as well. BD needs aircraft that would be able to hold their own against planes like this in the unlikely event that the two air-forces ever go to war.
A more likely scenario would be a clash between BD and Myanmar. The Su-30 would be very useful to support the BD Navy against the Myanmarese due to it's long range and heavy weapons load
The perfect combination of aircraft currently would be the Su-30/J-10B.
The Russians may not sell us a version of Su-30 as capable as what India has but the real point is that BD could not afford more than 50-60 million a copy anyway, so fancy features like AESA radar would not be on the table anyway
The J-10B may not be sold by China right now but the Chinese have already sold the MBT-2000 tank to BD. When the J-20 comes into service in a few years, then it is quite possible that China would be willing to sell the J-10B to BD. With it's AESA radar and PL-21D ramjet missiles it would be easily hold it's own against any plane in the Indian inventory.
It is a moot point whether Pakistan would be willing to sell the JF-17 to BD as the plane does not fit BD's needs at all.
