It must be staged, how could it possible for the Chinese police to risk their own lives to save a poor Uighur farm boy, it doesn't make any sense to the western media. Chinese police in Xinjiang is to "persecute " and carry out "genocide", not to save lives in XInjiang, in the "staged" video they messed up with their job descriptions made by the western media.

A news conference was held by the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region on Tuesday to commend doctors, police officers and other people that helped to save the severed arm of a 7-year-old boy a few days ago.

On the afternoon of April 30, the Uygur boy's right arm was cut off accidentally by a tractor mechanism in Hotan prefecture's Kumairik village. Surgery was required within eight hours to save it.

Dozens of people in different positions in society made a coordinated effort to send the injured boy to the hospital of traditional Chinese medicine affiliated with Xinjiang Medical University in Urumqi to have surgery to reattach and repair the arm. The last flight to Urumqi — China Southern Airlines Flight CZ6820 — was stopped on the runway and sent back to the terminal pick up the boy. He arrived at the hospital in time and his severed limb was successfully reattached. Broken bone fragments were realigned.

At the news conference, Arkin Rajap, a doctor at a local hospital in Hotan prefecture; Izhar Mamtimin, a police officer who escorted the boy's ambulance; Zhao Yan, the airliner's chief steward who cared for the boy during the flight; Li Li, an orthopedic surgeon at the TCM hospital who performed the operation; and a number of other people involved in the rescue were commended for their efforts.

Indians started many Xinjiang threads in PDF recently, I really wonder if a village boy's arm were cut off in a desert village in the middle of nowhere, will India mobilize every possible resource for this boy in short order so the boy's arm could be successfully reconnected in time? can anyone answer honestly?

Well instead of just filming somebody for propaganda purposes in the US the person would have put the phone down and ACTUALLY HELPED THE KID instead of relying on others.

Imagine if the police failed in stopping the kid and he drowned.

"Hey everybody I got this video of me running after some kid just before he drowned...that's right I didn't help save him and yeah he drowned...but luckily I got it all of this great film footage..oh wait I'm in China..can't post bad news..I guess I now have to send it to some gore site."

BTW if the police did fail what are the chances this video would be posted and seen by the Chinese public? Likely zero.

So this guy is counting on the police saving him otherwise the footage is useless.

Several videos can be found for failed rescues and police lost their lives, you don't know about them? You media really tells you nothing, Would you risk your own life for "propaganda purpose", where is your common sense? everyone cherish their own lives.

I guess that kid was lucky there were police around.

If that kid drowned and somebody posted the video there would be an uproar as to why somebody put so much energy into carefully filming a potentially tragic situation instead of actually helping.

But maybe you are correct..it wasn't staged..it was only the status quo attitude people have about not helping others...as it is "not their problem".

That's the big difference between Chinese mentality and the West/US.
