我国嫦娥三号月球探测器由着陆器和巡视器(俗称月球车)共同组成。在我国首辆月球车全球征名活动中，近65万网民投票“玉兔”号。今年12月“嫦娥”将怀抱“玉兔”飞天落月，“玉兔”号随后将开展为期3个月的月面巡视探测。

11月26日，国防科工局新闻发言人吴志坚宣布，如果气象等条件允许，由着陆器和巡视器共同组成的我国嫦娥三号月球探测器将在12月上旬择机发射。据专家介绍，如果发射、飞行顺利，嫦娥三号预计在12月中旬着陆月球。这将是我国航天器首次地外天体软着陆。新华社发（刘淮宇 摄）

This year December, China will launch "Chang'e III" moon satellite. If all things go well the "Chang'e III" will land on the Moon and launch "YuTu / Jade Rabbit" moon rover to discover the surface. "YuTu / Jade Rabbit" will travel Moon for three months !
