2012 RAYTHEON AWARD VIDEO.wmv - YouTube

This video was created to commemorate the 67FS winning the 2011 Raytheon Trophy for outstanding aerial achievement, given to the top air-to-air squadron in the USAF.

The footage was shot over 1 year of flying with a Sony HD Handycam and GOPRO Hero. The footage was shot entirely by pilots, no combat camera personnel were used. The video was edited with Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD over 2 weeks by Jersey. Footage includes flying and aircraft from both the 67FS "Fighting Cocks" and the 44FS "Vampire Bats", entirely on location at Kadena AB, Japan. Most of the over water footage was filmed while we were raging like demons from hell in the skies over the pacific ocean like our brothers did 70 years before us.

The HD in this video is pretty impressive. I don't think I have seen any similar type footage taken before. would love to see some F-22 jockies do the same.

Loved the SRM high pitched tone@ 4:45.All it indicates is that you are just one step away from a kill.Cool !

Thomas, what's the status on F-15 SE, are those available for USAF? As you have posted that the national guard F-15 squadron is deployed on a base near Iran.So are the F-15SEs part of the team or for the stealth coverage you guys are totally relying on F-22?

The 104th fighter wing of the Massashusetts air national guard fly 20 F-15C's Which are air superiority fighters. Another 20 fighters from the 18th wing in Kadenna Japan are the C model as well only these have more upgraded radar. The F-15 has recorded at least 100 combat victories with no losses. Most of those kills were a result of Israel's operation peace for Gallilee in which upwards of 87 Syrian migs were shot down. Thought to be fair there were f-16's in that match up as well.

As far as I know the US Air Force will not be getting the SE. That model is designed more for export.

Hmmm!, i was just thinking that if only the SE type was available then we might see a combination constituting of the F-15SE and F-22s on your side, along with the time tested F-16s and F-15E from the IAF as they are expected to cooperate on this.

Better results do support the exports you know ,although it's already having a legacy of a proven platform.
