20-year-old Turkish woman brutally murdered, body burned

Their lives are a liability, you cannot guarantee they won't get free somehow. Death is the best conclusion, but the only thing which makes me doubt about implementing it now. can our judges be reliable to make correct statements at all time. For example Reis bey.

And by extending their lives you are actually being merciful on the criminal and merciless against the relatives. The criminal is still living and unless its something like OZ he will have a reasonable life. Best example at the moment Breivik. The relatives now have to live on with the knowledge that this criminal is alive while their child is death, and to add salt to injury they have to pay people to guard him and money to give the criminal a minimal living(a.k.a taxpayers money).

But if we implement the death penalty I can already see the European headlines.
So Breivik is the exsample that comes to your mind when i say ''under worst conditions''?
I would rather die than being held in a rat cage for the rest of my life, do you think you can call this a life?
No my friend, i still think death is a too easy way out for such criminals, i still think their life should be made to hell till they die, without the option for them to see freedom in their life again.

nope breivik is reasonable condition and I said "The criminal is still living and unless its something like OZ". But its easy for us to say, we don't have to be on patrol every day, giving them food and need to interact with them.

And what good is to torture him since none of us will probably give the time to think about criminal wondering, I wonder in how much pain he is. You won't recall him less then a month from now. The ones who have to carry that pain are guards. Innocent men who are working to keep criminals in this degree behind jail and have to fight against their selves not to lose their humanity. So if you want to torture Innocent guards go ahead.

And death is way too easy. I object to that, Death will give a clear message to those that when you do something like that your time on earth ends and you think we people can best the pain that can be inflicted on someone in hell.

Besides we humans are an adaptive species.

We learned that pepper spray doesn't work, its just pisses off the attackers even more.
Those collapsible batons are good or better yet a small hand gun. The good thing with the baton is that you can disable someone without killing them, so now you don't have to go to jail yourself. :enjoy:

Allah rahmet eylesin. RIP :(

The death penalty is good imo but only if the courts are very very just, its a big deal to take someones life and some people were wrongly sentenced to death in the past.

Twenty-year-old Özgecan Aslan was a phycology student at Çağ University in Mersin.

The burned body of a 20-year-old female student who had been missing for two days was discovered Feb. 13 in a riverbed near Tarsus district of the southern province of Mersin.

Three suspects have been detained for stabbing Özgecan Aslan to death and later burning her remains.

The family of Aslan, who was a phycology student at Çağ University, had filed a missing report with the police on Feb. 11 after failing to contact her. As the search for the missing girl continued, gendarmerie forces stopped a minibus on Feb. 12 on suspicion.

The gendarmerie found blood stains and a hat in the minibus. The driver of the vehicle, 26-year-old S.A., his 50-year-old father N.A. and 20-year-old F.A. were detained when the victim’s father recognized the hat and said it belonged to his daughter.

During the interrogation, N.A. and F.G. admitted to the crime. According to the suspects’ testimonies, Aslan was the last passenger on the minibus and S.A. drove the vehicle to a remote location.

When he attempted to rape the woman, she fought back and used pepper spray against her attacker. S.A. then stabbed Aslan several times and hit her with an iron pipe and killed.

After the murder, S.A. went back home with the body and asked for his father and friend’s help to get rid of the body. The three then tried to burn Aslan’s body to get rid of the evidence.

The remains of a woman were found Feb. 13 at the location the suspects gave. One of Özgecan Aslan’s close friends, who was with her on the day she went missing, failed to identify the severely damaged body, but she said the clothes on the body matched what Aslan wore the day she disappeared.

“We were together at the school until noon, then we went shopping, ate something and got on a minibus to get home,” the witness said.

“I got off near my home and she stayed on the minibus to go home. I later learned that she did not go home and was missing.”

The gendarmerie and the police have launched an investigation to find out the details and the reasons of the murder.

People are extremely angry... there have been calls for re-initiation of the capital punishment. Even one of ministers said that we should bring back the capital punishment system.

Turkey's Murder Rate of Women Skyrockets

couldnt find a better english source but check turkish outlets and you will find it there too.

We went from 90-100 women murdered annually to around 300. In the past decade.
Those are the facts.

What changed that? In my opinion its the enforced Islamization of the country. But thats another topic, lets leave like that.
