Hehe...of course....and a nice assortment of firearms too...

We cannot own them for self defense though (when we fill out the paperwork for the license after passing the test)...."officially" anyway....so no chance to be armed in public (if you want to abide by the law that is).

Officially can only own for two purposes (well three technically if you are a pure collector only): "sporting" and/or "hunting".

"Castle doctrine" etc... thus will have to be an extremely last resort kind of thing where you simply have to prefer looking at jail time over getting killed (so really you have to feel your life is really under threat etc...)...the law is stacked against us heavily as I think it is in the UK too (I remember someone getting in trouble years ago for shooting a burglar in home-invasion there).

Yes I'm aware of the complexities of it all in Canada. Gun control is even stricter in the UK and you can pretty much forget about most reasons to keep one. Sport is one and you need to be a member of an elite gun club and then there is a electronic safe, regular checks by the police etc. Farmers are allowed double barrelled shotguns for shooting animals and that's about it.
The UK law has been relaxed now with self defence within the home and force can be used. As for the law better to be judged by a jury of 12 than your coffin to be carried by 6....

Most gun owners are more likely to have their guns accidentally used on a family member or their family members accidentally using it on other family members e.g. suspected break in shoot first only to realise its your dad bringing in some groceries at night.

It is beyond fucked up that the only reason why these people were arrested was because this video was made public. If there was never a video, these bastards would've never been arrested at all.

Dunno bout you guys, but I have a favourable opinion of Black people..

Been to africa, met african american.. I think they are chill people..

Same, I had really good black friends in college days and still some to this day and never had any issues with them. About Africans from Africa I did notice though that they were even worse than us when it came to time. Had some Nigerian friends who would always turn up a couple of hours late to everything. I mean with us Pakistanis it was usually being late by 30 to 60 minutes but these guys were next level. Dont know if this was just my experience though.

On topic hope these people will pay for their crime. These cases happen far too often and this one only got amplified due to the existence of the video. Extremely serious issue in the US.

There's more to it. Apparently jogging wasn't all he was doing.
