Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leaders and deputies of the Sindh provincial assembly
Shoaib Bokhari (L) and Wakeel Jamali (2nd L) stand behind bars along with other MQM workers in Karachi 21 November. The arrests followed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's decision to set up military courts in violence-racked Karachi, Pakistan's largest city, to try people accused of terrorism, murder and other serious crimes. Police recovered five Kalashnikov rifles and three pistols during the overnight raid. AFP PHOTO/Junaid SHIEKH (Photo credit should read JUNAID SHIEKH/AFP/Getty Images)

Even in Assembly

the notorious military courts of the 90s were the political tool of nawaz to achieve political suppression of MQM, even the MQM workers who were convicted by military courts at that time were set free later on appeal by the high court

the biggest money launderer and the drug mafia and the corrupt guy nawaz is walking free so why even bother thinking other people freed by the court with bogus judgement in a military court when nawaz is not only walking free but is the dear PM of Pakistan

nawaz in jail

There were in jail because of this:

'Police recovered five Kalashnikov rifles and three pistols'

Decide who you are with. The Military Courts or MQM ?

are going to teach me history, wht happened back in 99, wht was the sentence given to nawaz sharif in plane hijacking case?
why not even now 99 coup , wasnt put on musharaf?
my friend, dont try to paint white on red?

these MQM guys didn't have to escape jeddah and later some back on NRO in order to escape the jail time, Nawaz escaped by signing agreement with saudi govt and escaped abroad in a state exile, which means that the pictures u showed were of guys who were legitimately freed by the courts not ran to jeddah

MQM should make a bid to declare Karachi as an autonomous region within Pakistan. Some "pure" Pakistanis have a problem with who Karachites elect.

Pakistan should have been a federation of provinces with their own systems. But the federation takes almost everything. The evidence can be seen how cities like Lahore and Islamabad has been highly developed while cities like Quetta, Karachi and Peshawar is now lagging behind.
