They knew it all , but there was no political will to save east Pakistan.Interesting insight; also shows that how much disconnect was there from intelligence side to the ground realities. They didn't knew camps were made across border, didn't knew about another student organisation trying to help the country which could've had been a great tool to counter the mukti bahini student groups.
The greatest flaw still lies in blatant over exaggeration of Pakistani capabilities to quell insecurities of the masses, feeding them opium of radicalization as well as extreme gross underestimation of your adversary (which has cost Pakistan every single war - which is why you must celebrate and build museums over something so trivial as a small aerial victory).
I am not surprised to see zero sympathy for Bangladeshi citizens who were tortured, raped, and murdered so brutally and zero criticism for the Pakistani forces who committed these atrocities.
Those Bengali force are called Razakars in Bangladesh and they got adequate punishment for siding with Pakistan in 1971.He mentions PA fought Police/EBR/EPR and defeated all three, but Mukti Bahini were the real trouble makers.
8:45 - he created a bengali force to counter Mukti Bahini

No, it does not. The circumstances are completely different. In 1971, Pakistan was divided into two with no logistics supply line. There was an on going Civil War following the massive atrocities committed on the bengalis, and the mukti bahini had already become a powerful entity on its own right. Presently, India is armed to the teeth and has adequate infrastructure and manpower on the ground where the skirmish is likely to take place. The circumstances are not so unfavorable. The areas of contest are all harsh terrain where specialized soldiers can fight effectively, and both sides have an adequate deployment. The potential losses in conflict dar outweigh any possible gains and greater sense will prevail. The first sentence of yours now applies to india, just as it was to Pak of 1971!

No. Bengalis were severely underrepresented in every government sector. Bengalis were like 45% of the total Pakistan population back then but they represented only 5% in the government sector. They knew it all , but there was no political will to save east Pakistan.
Just 5 years ago in 1965 the Bengalis literally swamped Pakistan army recruitment camps to fight for Pakistan against India and the best PAF Ace Fighter Pilots were Bengalis, because Ayub Khan was keeping them happy and feel like they are part of Pakistan.
Then in 1969 Ayub Khan had to resign under pressure from ZAB and the rest is history.
Hindu domination was the primary reason for the formation of the Bangladesh creation. He mentions PA fought Police/EBR/EPR and defeated all three, but Mukti Bahini were the real trouble makers.

Including East Pakistan with West was the biggest mistake in history of any nations.
when you see a big @ss opponent in middle of your two territories know that their will be a big disaster in the making.
