On 18th April 2001 Indian Border Security Guard (BSF) suddenly crossed 1067/3 pillar and entered Borai Bari area in Rowmari Upazila in Kurigram district. Their objective was to capture BDR camp and surrounding villages.

At 5 a.m. in that day fully armed BSF caught local doctor name Lal mia on the path and asked for the BDR's camp location. On the way BSF destroyed many Bangladeshis houses. Lal Mia showed them wrong building. BSF fired toward the building and kept going toward the building. Meanwhile Lal Mia ran away and called BDR. BDR quickly went to the place and started firing to defend. On that fight , 33 rifles battalion's lance naik Wahid Mia, soldier Mahfouz and 26 rifles battalion's soldier Abdul Kadir died. On the other hand 137 BSF (including officers) died in that clash. It is said that the reason behind this attack as retaliation from BSF was not able to build culvert in no man's land for BGB protest.

Salute to All those Bangladeshi brave soldiers for the fight to defend the country. May Allah give those Martyrs Heaven

BDR is now currently known as BGB

After that incident most of the bangladeshis started to believe that one day India may try to invade Bangladesh.

Replace BGB with BDR, that'll more glorify it and they were BDR then. Also, probably this is the reason for their title change.

Dadas showed their true faces that day trying to invade into BD territory but by the grace of Allah(swt) our border guards gave them some spanking and these BSF clowns ran with tail between their dirty legs.

Ya and the casualties were 16 not 137- that part of the report escaped your notice? :what:

True death of BSF was not disclosed by any party, only BBC and some media's reported it

it was reported by BBC, i heard it
BDR attacked Meghalaya from 4 frontier sides in response.

The Tribune, Chandigarh, India - Main News

bhai issey boltey hai BD Section EFFECT, it's damn serious, pls. have a check-up from your nearest doctor, but don't cross the IB as BSF is waiting with a gun to shoot.

The Union Home Ministry, quoting reports from forward BSF outposts, had last night said 16 BSF personnel had been gunned down while two BDR men were killed when over 1,000 soldiers from the BDR and Bangladesh Army overran Boraibari, driving out about 1,000 villagers from their homes.

Is there any chance we can retrieve that historic name? But definitely that BGB name induced by indo-awami fagots should be changed.

Ok so show me the BBC report, i'll buy it.

But if it was 137 as you say, than you are asking for a WAR, even if India was the invading party.

BS.
