How many german fought in Gallipoli..? There is only some incompetent commanders and a few traitor soldiers.. But thousands of Turks fought in the Galicia and Romania for the help to Germany as our allies..!!!

When the English soldiers enter the Jerusalem all germans cheered wildly by the joy..!!

You really make no sense... Germany alone had to shoulder half of the supplies of Ottoman Empire...

Edit: I agree that their commenders in Gallipoli were incompetent and they didn't send soldiers to help us.

Not all of the muslims in Ottoman soil supported Ottomans during this war and not all of the christians supported foreigners during WW1 too...

The Ottomans lost eventually, of course. Had the invasion succeeded millions of lives would have been saved - and maybe the Ottomans would never have succumbed to revolution and the Empire would still exist.

It wasn't an impossible scenario by any means. Europe spent decades propping up the Ottomans against the Russians. It was only the disaster at Gallipoli that compelled the French and Brits to find another route to victory - through Arabia, Mesopotamia, and Palestine.

Sometimes when we win we've lost more than we would have by losing. It is a difficult and deflating lesson. It teaches the uselessness of blind pride in one's self and one's nation and the importance of values over victory. As the saying goes, "It isn't whether you win or lose, but how you play the game."
