16th Feb Induction ceremony of thunders in No.14 Sqn

.
IFR probe at last . Good to see thunders now can aerial refuel in mid air .
16th Feb is the official date of 14 Squadron Re-equipment ceremony with the JF-17 aircraft. The 14 squadron's inducted aircraft will be organized in a "U" shape and the ones with the refueling probes will be at the front. Another pain in the *** for Banyas

:D. Next year another squadron will be equipped yet Tejas project will be "lol".

Wouldn't it be aerodynamically better to make a retractable IFR probe?

.
no comment

so (4 x 16) squadrons with 6 at CCS.
:) Got it!

Yes the number seem add up this way. I do hope that we raise the number of planes per squadron to 18-20 at least (and may be 2 more as back up, at least for JF17) 16 seem a bit too low. However this is a purely administrative decision and there must be some good reason for these numbers.

Surely. But the current design do not have enough space for a retractable IFR probe.

KAMRA: A ceremony to hand over sixteen new JF-17 Thunder jets to 14-Squadron of Pakistan Air Force was held at Kamra Airbase on Thursday.

Defence Minister Khawaja Asif attended the ceremony as chief guest. Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Sohail Amman was also present. The minister inspected the guard of honour followed by an impressive fly-past and reviewed the newly fighter jets.

This year sixteen JF-17 Thunder have been manufactured jointly by China and Pakistan. The induction of these jets will strengthen the country’s defence .

It may be added that Pakistan Air Force already has more than seventy JF-17 Thunder fighters.

At the ceramony 2p32 shown with air to Air refueling probe which it did not had in the previous pictures a few weeks ago looks like probe is detachable and can be installed under x hours when needed and removed when not required
