Nodes refer to bases of IAF-both airbases and inventory and repair bases. All of them would go online on a single network.
The second network would link the ADGES system with the civilian radar system all over the country along with the Aerostat's and the AWACS, and the fighter radar inputs.
Both these networks would run on a single larger network-the AFNET. The AFNET is being laid all over the country wherever the IAF wants it to be. It is a fiber optic based network. Fiber optic refers to the medium of carrying data, or cables, as you may call it.
