You are telling a big lie as it is on record he declared the Blasphemy law as Black Law.
So discussing a law, which is man made, mind you, equals blasphemy? That in itself is blasphemy according to my opinion. According quasi-divine status to a law less than 4 decades old.
As per article 62-63 a person should be clean in his personal life.
And then the articles stop short of operationalizing what attributes said individual must possess, leaving it to personal interpretation. Given the choice between an alcoholic and a murderer, I would side with the alcoholic any day. I do not condone his actions but at least he keeps his sin to himself rather than bearing it upon others.
On the other hand he was trying to defend a convict and gave irresponsible statements which were main cause of his death.
Once again, firstly she was not a convict, she was an accused. There's a massive difference in legal terminology there.
Secondly the man is free to state his opinion, if you feel that he deserves to be killed because his opinions conflict with yours, then you and your ideas are both weak, shallow and hollow.
By the way in our discussion we should not cross our limits as so called counter terrorism expert Iracus did. Now every one has the right to call Maulvis as stupid and people following their religion as bastards. This language should be condemned by any literate person.
I would please like you to point out where I called "people following their religion bastards" as you quote. If you take offence to me calling a bloodthirsty mob out for a 13 year old's blood "bastards" then I apologize for offending you but still stand with my statement.
As for calling Moulvis stupid, yes, I stand by my statement that those religious elites who exploit their position for their own petty goals are the bane of our society and my language is actually quite soft, I believe we all saw the language they used in the aftermath of the Qadri hanging episode when they staged a sit in at D-Chowk. The language some of the most distinguished religious scholars used and the way they referred to others would be something you would expect to hear from a pimp.
I accord the greatest respect however to people like Ghamdi Sahab, Mufti Sarfaraz Naeemi Shaheed, Maulana Tariq Jamil Sahab among others. These are individuals who have genuinely devoted themselves to the service of Islam and humanity. They extol the virtues of peace, tolerance and restraint in a society that seems to reserve all piety in killing.
The Bhensa people were also so called liberals and what shit they created even Mr Horus himself countered them.
I am unequivocally opposed to any attempt to hurt the religious sentiments of any individual. Please do not equate me with those people. They were trying to create tensions and controversy, I am merely trying to make a point.
I hope Mr Horus will take action against those members who are using this forum to spread hatred for an approved law and ideology of this country.
Laws and ideology are not above debate, they are the product of it.
