Agra: In a horrific murder, three upper caste men allegedly electrocuted a 12-year-old Dalit boy merely for plucking a few ears of corn from their field in Ishapur village of Barahan area here on Wednesday morning.

The body of little Anuj Kumar was found in a cornfield, with burn marks all over it. The accused, identified as Narendra Sharma, Rakesh and Dewana, have been booked under sections 302 (murder) and 325 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt) of the IPC.

While Sharma was arrested, his two accomplices remain at large, according to Barahan station officer (SO) Awdhesh Kumar Tripathi. "We are on the lookout for the two men. They will soon be caught," the police officer said, adding the boy's body has been sent for post mortem.

According to information, Kumar and three of his friends — Brijesh, Sumit and Sachin — went out for a swim in the village canal when they saw a cornfield in the vicinity. The friends reached the field and plucked a few ears of corn and started eating them. This is when Sharma, the owner of the field and his two aides grabbed Kumar, while the other boys managed to escape. The men allegedly dragged the boy to a nearby hut and electrocuted him.

"When my son didn't return home by 9pm, I asked his friends about his whereabouts. They told me about what had happened earlier in the day so I went to look for him in the cornfield. I found his body with burn marks all over," said the boy's father, Raj Kumar, talking to TOI.
The father, accompanied by a few villagers, then approached the police and filed a complaint against the three men.

UP and Bihar are the most casteist states in India. Casteism is a problem in all of India but nowhere is such a genuine hate and superiority feelings in the upper castes towards the lower castes.

Had he been an upper castes boy, he would instead have been gifted. Shame.

Why are the caste laws not used? Shame.

We spend all day in stick measuring and point scoring, but reality is when it comes to caste and cred or related matters, the sub-continent sucks big time, we may have progressed in certain fields but when it comes to the question of human values and morals, the so called enlightenment hasn't touched the dark corridors of our ''I love me'' psyche.

They could have killed an upper caste boy instead. And dalit boys should not wear dalit stars on their shirts, that gives them away.

Even the police had only booked them for murder. Not of caste atrocity.

Shame.

There is no dalit or upper caste! All human beings are equal.

Those who think otherwise are mentally retarded and deserve a place in jail

I am hating it! :cuckoo::close_tema:
