According to the reports 1 JCO, 7 ORs, 10 SIG constable, 1 ASC driver were killed in the attack.

An Army convoy of 6 Dogra was being deinducted from 26 sector of Assam Rifles when the attack happened.

NEW DELHI: As many as 20 soldiers of the 6 Dogra unit of the army are feared to have died in an ambush in the bordering district of Chandel in Manipur after an army convoy was ambushed on Thursday morning.

Officials said that an administrative convoy of the army was ambushed at 8/am at the Moltuk valley in Manipur with IEDs and RPGs.

The lead vehicle was ambushed and nine soldiers are believed to have died in the spot. Out of the injured, many were critical and the death toll is expected to reach 20.
