Doesn't matter if those news are fake or not, it just points the need for Active Protection Systems for tanks.
There is as much armor that u can have on a tank, there's a limit, and current rockets and missiles make the tank vulnerable, the solution is an APS to actively protect the tank against those threads.

Or any modern ATGW for that matter. There is a reason Leo2A4s got uparmored in A5, A6, A6M, A7 and A7+. Besides, no tank is invincible.
