Basha dam should be made ASAP, there is no choice & Basha dam cannot be sidelined as by the construction of this dam much of electricity problem will be solved & most importantly water storage.

No government will put their hands in this project. Especially with 3 years left. Thats what common sense dictates knowing the people in power. But I have been wrong before.

I wish i am wrong, i pray i am but SIR, haven't we seen similar tenders and ground breaking in the past as well?
I hope we can think clearly for one moment with out any political affiliation effecting our minds.

Some people here have mentioned funding issues but that too as addressed is not the case.

I hope we will have a government honest enough to start actual work on this project knowing that it wont complete in there term, i hope they do it for the country and a sincerely pray and wish it is this current government because going by the figures, we do not have much time left. Need to start making MEGA hydro power projects starting yesterday! Also dams with water storage capability!

Ill be on this forum for the next three years. I have a huge bunch of "i told you so's" and predictions scattered throughout this place. Problem is that my memory is too weak to remember how all my stories end. This too shall pass.

Well i hope we have you here for three years and beyond that but i too face this memory problem but in this particular case, it do not matter to me, it will be more then a point scoring battle. t seriously is the life line of future Pakistani generation and WE are the ones responsible for providing that!

There have been a lot of things in the past. But if we keep living in the past, then do we deserve to have a future?

No we dont, but with a past like this, present like the one we have right now being optimistic for the future is something hard to do. Anyway, this is a debate that will go on for ever and all i can say is a sincerely hope that THINGS DO CHANGE NOW, i do not wish for someone else to come in gov and correct these things because it will be better if these were done yesterday so if this gov can deliver now why wait for another years and change in gov? I wish things improve and good sense prevail, that is what is most important.

Depends on how much fight is left in me to continue seeing this slow erosion. Everyday is a battle. Lets hope for the best for the ones that come after us.
