190km is still a hige distance plus it will be deeper than the channel tunnel which was already difficult to construct for two of the worlds leading engineering nations.

You also have to remember the fact that the gulf is twice as deep in this area compared to the English channel tunnel which itself was an engineering feat.
I dont see how this is physically possible. The distance between Iran and Qatar is 400 - 500 km, while the longest railway tunnel in the world is around 57 km.
Not to mention the gulf being unsuitable for this kind of project in terms of the underwater terrain, not to mention the political...

A lot of those countries have their infrastructure set up only to export cash crops/minerals away from the country because of colonialism, so they have big issues with self suffiency as their economies prior to independence were based on importing necesseties and exporting value goods.
