Amazing project. Feasibility studies started during Mubarak's Era and Daaba was chosen as the ideal place to build the reactor, but nothing happened and El-Sisi started everything again. Personally, I think that this is one of the largest projects in Egypt's history.
I heard before that there was a tender to procure a howitzer for the Egyptian military and the choices included the following K-2 Thunder(Korea), CAESAR(France) and T5-52(South Africa).
Which one do you think is the best?
Could Egypt get a licence to produce MiG-29/35 or SU-30 like India does?
And should Egypt do such thing considering the US limits Egypt's air force by a large margin compared to other countries in the ME?
Ok this is unexpected, then what do you think about the domestic capability of other countries in the Middle East like Turkey(Aselsan) and Israel(Elbit Systems)?
And would Reutech give Egypt TOT to try and bridge this 50 year gap?
I think Egypt's going to buy a satellite from France(for like 600+ million Euros).
If you check the meeting between El-Sisi and Macron, El-Sisi said that France should try and stop caricatures that insult religious figures and he reiterated the fact that Egypt is against any type of violence...
Hopefully, Egypt will have some good products in EDEX 2021. I think RADAR technology is a field where Egypt can do really well in. It's not as expensive as developing 5th gen fighters and Egyptian Communication and Electronics engineers are really good(The inventor of the MOSFET was Egyptian).
I found research done by one of the researchers who worked on this project:

And how long would it take Iran to field a good jet fighter(Like SU-30), with engines, RADARs..etc?
I think more than 20 years and when you have Israel and the US assassinating your generals and scientists and planning to attack your country, you don't have time.
Iran seems to be much more advanced than the media portrays it to be. Iran's number 15 in scientific publications and has many top-performers in scientific Olympiads.
As an Egyptian, I commend and want Turkey to succeed in its TF-X Program. Better to start now and have a working plane with indigenous engines in like 10-15 years and give high-tech quality jobs to your engineers rather than being like Arab countries and spending 10s of billions of dollars.
