    You're confused. Persian (and Old Persian) is a West Iranian language. Besides classification in the same group doesn't mean they're all derived from Old Persian. End of confusion I hope.

    Incorrect. no it did not. Avestan came from Old Avestan. Old Persian evolved from a disctinct language to Avestan (phonetic differences).

    Wikipedia. That's convincing :tup: How do you explain that Old Persian and Classical Sanskrit existed about the same time, if Old Persian is an ancient relative of Sanskrit? The Vedic form of Sanskrit is most likely older than Old Persian.

    At the moment it could be any currency as noone knows who owns the Caspian Sea. Could cause problems for relations between those littoral states. Personally, I'd divide it up like a pie chart.
