Did PAF Pilots Carry Out UAE AF Strikes in Libya?

NO PAF didnt do it. There was a news article reporting UAEAF did it. Their pilots are fully capable to shoot some APCs or modified pick-up trucks with no air or SAM threats in the vicinity.

Mi-28NE Night Hunter still Pakistan army first choice ?

I hope so, however the thing that will create problems is the T800 engine of the T129 which is US made(initially made for RAH66 Commanche); not sure if Pak will want or be allowed to get stuff with a US engine..... sanction prone.

Mi-28NE Night Hunter still Pakistan army first choice ?

I dont think the deal is finalized yet or maybe I am wrong. PA's interest in T-129 and well as Mi28N maybe some maneuvering to see if they can get AH-1Z. In the end I think if PA is satisfied with T-129 and deliveries/production is quick they will opt for this it.

    BVR capabilities of PAF

I read somewhere on the forum about BVR missiles on the F7PG. Cant find where. Anyone has any info regarding that. Or any plans to integrate western/chinese BVRs with the Grifo radar? Thanks.

JF-17 Thunder Multirole Fighter [Thread 6]

Cash influx is needed in the JF-17 program so replacement of old fighters can be on track. It is already delayed unfortunately. Crash rate in recent years seem higher than before. Second hand F16s and new JF17s are the best option at the moment.

JF-17 Thunder Multirole Fighter [Thread 6]

I ho I hope so. However the stuff that amount of money can buy today may be much less then in 2025.

    Thrust vectoring at 400 knots

Yes two different values of g force depending on the distance of the pilot seat to the point on the plane that remains "stationary " in terms of pitch or the hinge point. This distance would be more in larger aircraft. The g force would also depend on the RATE at which the pitch changes(hence a...

JF-17 Thunder Multirole Fighter [Thread 5]

They have been offering it to almost every country in the Middle East left right and centre as well as several African countries. Whether the Russian engine is the problem, the Chinese avionics or are they just biased in favor of western systems or maybe all of the above? Those with money...

Saudi Arabia expresses interest in JF-17 co-production with Pakistan.

Buying JF17s by KSA or any oil rich middle eastern country (even funding the project) wi mean a major shift in policy for them. Unlikely to happen unless there are substantial political benefits as money is not a big problem for these guys. JF17s if exported will most likely be to third world...

JF-17 Thunder Multirole Fighter [Thread 5]

Has anyone seen any other pictures of the Russian chief with the Thunder? Seems a bit odd him sitting there in the cockpit on him own with no one explaining or showing him anything. Could this be a photo-shop?

Saudi Arabia expresses interest in JF-17 co-production with Pakistan.

Agree. Ammunition and small arms aside.. KSA is unlikely to buy JF-17s. There may be a possibility of a tank deal.... but I'm not too optimistic.

Pakistan buys 13 F16 from Jordan

From news reports of Jordanian F16s, it seemed more may be coming after the 13 are inducted ( I may be wrong). Any news regarding that or any chance of new F16s from the US? Thanks.

    Pakistan F-16 Discussions 2

This is not a "hardened shelter" or "bunker" . We have and should have hardened bunkers rather than something like this.

First Block 2 JF-17s under construction in Pakistan

The delay in production of JF-17s is not good, whether this is due to money issues or technical reasons. Production is late by at least 1.5 to 2 years if we look at the estimated production at the launch of the program.

Pakistan Army's T-129 ATAK Helicopter Deal | Updates & Discussions.

I would like to see T129 with PA. However this is unlikely as the powerplant (LHTEC CTS800) is US/UK export. It would be too much of a hassle (redesign/testing etc) to fit the chinese WZ9 turboshaft into the T129. Better go for CAIC WZ10 when able with modification per PA requirements.

JF-17 Thunder Multirole Fighter [Thread 5]

Is this a prototype? Helmet has loose wires coming out the back. One is also taped to the pilot's neck. Probably prototype testing.

Export bids for JF-17 Thunder Multirole Lightweight Fighter Aircraft

Only structural change in Block II is fixed IFR. "Stealthy" features and RAM paint unlikely. And no AESA yet.

JF-17 Thunder Multirole Fighter [Thread 5]

Raising the third squadron with block IIs would make sense. Possibly some new block IIs and some upgraded to block II standard from block I. I understand first block II will role out in June IA.

Z-10 or T-129 Atak or AH-1Z for the Pakistan Army?

Pakistan will most likely go for Z10 instead of turkish option mainly because all components/spare parts etc are made in China and do not need license for production and export. Moreover Z10 can be modified and avionics etc integrated acc. to Pakistan's needs. Chinese are more soft in this...
