Turkey imposes $183 million penalty on Boeing over delivery delay

We don't really care and neither does international law. Turkey ordered these planes from Boeing and does not care which subcontractors Boeing uses. If their subcontractor is refusing to meet their obligations, it's Boeing's problem not Turkey's. http://www.globes.co.il/en/article-1000732675...

Turkish government raises defense budget for next year

Don't even bother bro, his response says it all. There is no point in talking to him from this point on after such BS. His hate is dully noted. Such a great loss for our nation

Aselsan MGEO - QWIP IR Detector Production Line

My point is, this is a significant achivement and your noobish ettempt to undermine is not working. Your very first post in this thread just proves my point.

Aselsan MGEO - QWIP IR Detector Production Line

I did ctrl+f ... I searched "Germany" "countries" ...etc. Now that you have posted the section we know you are just trolling since you know very well that list is not complete. Everybody knows we are just starting mass production and we are not established in the industry. I find it interesting...

I don't see a list of developer countries in that link or am I blind? :what:

Turkish government raises defense budget for next year

And what exactly is your point? You think we are doing something wrong? Care to elaborate? All of the counties you have listed (with the exception of SK) are known for their rich natural resources. South Korea, while lacking the resouces is an industrial giant and they have officially been in...

    T-LORAMIDS Tender | Updates & Discussion

Cheers, I still think It is a typo though since no other respectable media outlet / blog reported it as such. (And the fact that China produced that missile under license from Russians)

    T-LORAMIDS Tender | Updates & Discussion

Are you sure? What is your source? The only person I would trust who was in the meeting is Arda Mevlutoglu and he says its HQ-9/FD-2000 which actually makes sense. afaik HQ-10 is license production S-300-PMU1 and thus cannot be sold to us. Read his first two posts here: Siyah Gri Beyaz

Z-10 or T-129 Atak or AH-1Z for the Pakistan Army?

Yep, it basically means you get what you pay for. edit: I agree that generally western equipment is more expensive than its equavalent eastern product. But 3:1 2:1 ratios are just too extreme. There has to be something to make that much difference. What should be argued here is...

Z-10 or T-129 Atak or AH-1Z for the Pakistan Army?

Dude, Commanche was canceled a decade ago and never went into production. :disagree: In turkish we have a saying "Ne kadar ekmek o kadar kofte" which literally translates as "How much bread you have, that much meatballs you get" :)

Samsung copies Apple, announces gold Galaxy S4

You might argue that Apple is a pioneer and innovator but in no way it is the market leader. Any sources to back your claims up? If we are talking about the operating systems here, Andorid has been the market leader for quite some time now with a SIGNIFICANT lead. Apple loses more ground to...

Russian S-300 PMU-2 vs. Chinese HQ-9 Which one is better ?

He was being sarcastic ... This is not the first ToT between Turkey and China (as Sinan mentioned above) and it is highly unlikely it will be the last as long as west keeps dragging its feet. Your arguement that Turkey will pull a "switcheroo" and scam Chinese is incredibly baseless and quite...

Exactly ... Also an added plus is the fact that FD-2000 is unkown to our most powerful nieghbour - Greeks with their S-300 AND Patriots. Given Greece's close relationship with France, SAMP/T wouldn't be much different either.

No you got me wrong. Let me re-quote myself: "And on your first point. Yes we don't know for sure if tests were conducted in Turkey." So no, I can't provide any proof. I don't know how so certainly you can say no trials were held in Turkey either. All I am saying is, given the prize money of...

    T-LORAMIDS Tender | Updates & Discussion

I am having a hard time understanding specially your second point. Are you saying Chinese entered the tender with no specifications and no technical data? And we chose the system completely blind? And this sounds reasonable to you? And on your first point. Yes we don't know for sure if tests...

Samsung copies Apple, announces gold Galaxy S4

I guess everybody has their reasons for choosing a phone. I am an android guy because: 1- Apple wants you to pay $100/year just to be able to develop a software for IOS. This is bull crap. I like having pet projects on the side. I can program for android for FREE and even place on store for...

Our Chinese friends should be more confident in themselves. FD-2000 is already an older tech for China and this is exactly why they are willing to share it's tech with us. I must say I am also surprised by some of Chinese member's remarks in this thread. Some even went as far ahead as calling...

    T-LORAMIDS Tender | Updates & Discussion

AFAIK there is zero information released to public on how the system was chosen and even what the systems are. We don't even know how many and what the project model will be. I think It was last year the requirements changed to allow us greater independance but Americans and Russians didn't...
