@MastanKhan tomorrow is the last date for issuing the LoA...judging by the way things are proceeding i don't think Pakistan is going to do that...so that brings me to my question...where does PAF go from here?????

@Zibago it really depends i mean there are multiple possibilities firstly you can get J 10 C off the shelf you dont need to wait for that...secondly if you want JF 17 in its current form then you must add a decent pod for ground attack in order to make it viable for operations in FATA....and...

Guys I have come across a lot of posts in this forum about JF-17 being underpowered....just to add my two cents here i personally think if you keep the engine the same and use more carbon composites in the airframe or the fuselage that is going to make a difference and it will automatically...

I've been saying this for a long time now...don't wait for the F-16's...negotiate with Turkey for Aselpod...Damn good pod for ground attack...check out its video on youtube...integrate it with the JF-17's and viola...your problem has been solved

Forget about July guys...May 24th is the last date for signing the Letter of Acceptance for the F-16's...otherwise you can kiss your favourite aircraft goodbye... And I've also read that LM is shutting down F-16 production line by the end of next year so if you wanna buy the aircraft this is...

Dont want to sound pessimistic or anything but it has been 4 months since the honorable prime minister inagurated the construction of the western route from zhob to mughalkot but the reality is no progress has been made on ground so far....when does the govt intend to start working on this part?????

If it was upto me...i would've picked the Aselpod without wasting anytime....damn good pod for precision strike especially for our JF-17'S Having a look at what Turkey has to offer....I can say for sure that there is a lot of space for defence cooperation between Pakistan and Turkey

Just saw on Samaa tv that Pakistan plans to upgrade its F-16's in Turkey.The total cost of this upgrade is put at 75 million dollars.What sort of upgrades are we talking about???? And are these -16's the ones that we got from Jordan?????

Guys if the Egyptians can buy Rafales on soft loans from France why can't we do the same with the -16's from America....am sure LM would be more than happy to oblige....

I have said this before and i'll say it again....since we r buying aircraft with national funds increase the fighters in question from 8 to 18....complete a squadron, negotiate with LM about payment in installments over the next 2 or 3 years and everybody is a winner...why create the fuss???

Let me give a solution to break the impasse...since we are not in the position to pay the full amount now let's put down 270 million as our down payment and get the work started on our -16's,assuming they will not be delivered before 2-3 years let's sort out an installment plan with LM that is...

This indeed is a worrying phenomena.....fingers are being raised against the Americans for not acting against the Islamic state the way it did against Iraq and Afghanistan....the Americans are playing a very dangerous double game here and with Russia into the fray the plan may very well backfire...
