Turkish Peace Operations in Syria (Operation Olive Branch) Updates & Discussions

Kurds are not stupid people. The chance of them breaking away from stable and strong countries like Turkey and Iran is very small. Think about it, you're an average Kurd, would you sacrifice your stable life, job, family life, kids etc. for a new unstable adventure in the name of a marxist...

Turkish Peace Operations in Syria (Operation Olive Branch) Updates & Discussions

Safe zone from all groups and place refugees there. Alternative is cleanse out isis and leave the region for the people that have been living there for centuries instead of giving the control of these regions to pyd/ypg, who evidently ethnic cleanse these new captured regions of Arabs...

Turkish Peace Operations in Syria (Operation Olive Branch) Updates & Discussions

How was Turkey fine with isis? Just because Turkey doesn't sacrifice itself for US interests and mistakes, does not means Turkey supports isis. If you got credible proof of how Turkey is supporting isis, then show it. Turkey recognized isis as terrorists in 2013, before the US did. Isis made...

Turkish Peace Operations in Syria (Operation Olive Branch) Updates & Discussions

Turkey said since few years ago that there should be a safe zone in North Syria, no one listened. Now the game is becoming more clear and it's become very clear that the US instead wants to give north Syria completely to ypg/pyd, which is part of pkk (on the terrorist list of Turkey, EU and...

Israeli think tank: Don’t destroy ISIS; it’s a “useful tool” against Iran, Hezbollah, Syria

Cry me a river. Now that Turkey stands up for its interests and fights isis, and potentially the pyd/ypg soon too, in Syria, you will cry even harder from now on :cray:

Turkish Peace Operations in Syria (Operation Olive Branch) Updates & Discussions

I don't believe that pyd/ypg is Iran's proxy. Ypg/pyd are in Menbic and surrounding villages. Turkey's foreign minister says 'either ypg/pyd leave Menbic and return to the east of the Euphrates river or we will do what is necessary'. Turkey's red line was/is; pyd/ypg must not cross to the west...

Turkish Peace Operations in Syria (Operation Olive Branch) Updates & Discussions

Forgot to mention in my last post, there are no Iranian proxies in the area where the operation is taking place. The operation is aimed at eliminating isis, bring in fsa to replace them before ypg/pyd does so. So talking more about Iranian proxies is redundant, imo.

Turkish Peace Operations in Syria (Operation Olive Branch) Updates & Discussions

If Iranian proxies are caught attacking our forces, it will give us a casus belli to attack them. This will weaken them and in turn weaken resistance against fsa and others. I'm sure one of the last things Iranian proxies now want is to get confronted by Turkish army too.

Turkish Peace Operations in Syria (Operation Olive Branch) Updates & Discussions

What the US says regarding Syria is less worth than a dog shit. We shall see, i'm optimistic, but we shouldn't forget what the US' agenda for north Syria has been.

Turkish Peace Operations in Syria (Operation Olive Branch) Updates & Discussions

If the US will not face Turkey in Syria, then we should rush and take isis held regions between ypg corridor (maybe this is what Mete Yarar referred to with phase 1 etc.), give it to fsa and prevent ypg from connecting it. Hope everything will go well.

Turkish Peace Operations in Syria (Operation Olive Branch) Updates & Discussions

We know ypg is allowed by the US to attack fsa. Let's say fsa gets control of Cerablus and Menbic, ypg attacks fsa in these 2 places with US support, how will we respond? I hope am wrong, but whether isis or fsa is in control of these 2 places doesnt matter, ypg will be given control by the US...

Israeli think tank: Don’t destroy ISIS; it’s a “useful tool” against Iran, Hezbollah, Syria

The pinnacle of stupidity and ignorance. When Turkey refused to fight ground war against isis on behalf of the US 'Turkey supports isis!!!'. When Turkey suffers from isis and launches operations against isis 'nope, Turkey protects isis!!!'

Iraq's war against IS terrorism | Updates and Discussions

One thing i have always wondered is, and forgive my ignorance; how was it possible for Iraqi forces to flee from Mosul and Ramadi when isis arrived/emerged? Has this completely been investigated by now? What was the testimony or reason(s) of the responsible person for issuing the command to...

Israeli think tank: Don’t destroy ISIS; it’s a “useful tool” against Iran, Hezbollah, Syria

Just a theory; why doesn't isis solely focus on Israel, EU (as they already have demonstrated) and the US? It will give them legitimacy, prestige and broader (moral) support, be it members or finance wise, from more muslims. Annihilating, and barbaric at that, muslims, be they sunni or shia...

Israeli think tank: Don’t destroy ISIS; it’s a “useful tool” against Iran, Hezbollah, Syria

Isis is clearly a tool to reshape the borders of some ME countries. Some interesting developments and detail from the top of my head. 1) Why can't the US and its close western allies, with all their intelligence service and technology, find Baghdadi all this time? Or will we hear some years...

Syrian Civil War (Graphic Photos/Vid Not Allowed)

The war will come to an end when most/all puzzle pieces fall into place, otherwise the US and Russia would have seriously pushed for peace already, and i think it's the US that keeps delaying for more time. Once finished, Baghdadi, who surprisingly has turned out to be a serious competitor of...

    Turkish Politics & Internal Affairs

Would the same author have written about the traumatized Turkish society had the 'coup' by the Gulenists succeeded? Or would the feelings and thoughts of the Turkish society not have been important for some specific media outlets and politicians in the world?

    The Fight against PKK Terrorism

Dailysabah reports that the anti-isis coalition led by the US was informed about these operations. How can we trust that the US didn't warn those pyd rats in Manbij?

'IS child bomber' kills at least 51 at Turkey wedding

What is also interesting is that isis attacks specific targets in Turkey. Tourism spots, hdp rallies and south east (populated by Kurdish citizens) in general seem to be more likely targets. Isis' attacks in Turkey are all aimed at weakening the economy and unity of the country, it's very...
