An analysis on DF-100 Poster said CX-1 is a downgraded export version of DF-100 https://lt.cjdby.net/thread-2591398-1-1.html My impression is that DF-100 is using a subsonic ramjet (airflow decelerated to subsonic in intake) to cruise from 3 Ma to 5 Ma at very high altitude. Air is so thin at...

    Chinese Missiles News & Discussions

I just read some tweets and it was said to have a range of 1000+km and speed from 3Ma to 5Ma. So it is a near space, supersonic (not hypersonic as it is not over 5Ma yet) cruise missile for attacking at least land targets. Most people think it's powered by Ramjet or even Scramjet.

Chengdu J-10 Multirole Fighter Air Craft News & Discussions

A bit off topic that J-9IV and other twin engine variants were the ones which truly match what PLAAF initially aimed for. PLAAF had some unrealistic expectation on J-9 development, which includes twin engine, M2.5 and 25km flight altitude. JU-20 development benefited from experience obtained in...

    Chinese Missiles News & Discussions

They normally have internal information channels or circles, mostly through various levels of CCP organisations, people's congress systems, etc. Hence all relevant people can get informed if something happens. But no one within that scope would publish anything in public if not allowed.

No value to follow his posting Can you guys just simply ignore his posts as what I've been doing? No need to pay any attention to some waste.

Chengdu J-10 Multirole Fighter Air Craft News & Discussions

Maybe some early knowledge exchange between these 2 countries. Of course there is no credibility of such claim at all. I made that guess just for fun. The sale of FBW software seems to be real as a couple of different sources stated that it did happen during the J-10 development.

J-10 just cannot reuse Lavi's aerodynamic data. Lavi has flaws in design on its canard and main wing combination. There is an article in Chinese discussing the issue, http://dy.163.com/v2/article/detail/CU3AU8IF0515I1K0.html In short, Lavi's pitch down control is terrible. Look at the...

Chengdu J-10 Multirole Fighter Air Craft News & Discussions

Aerodynamics wide, Lavi has the least contribution to J-10 development. Lavi has major design flaw and the Israelis have much less experience on delta-canard configuration than Institute 611. From a couple of different sources, I can see that - Israelis helped on FBW and especially hardware. -...

More important thing is if those R&D progresses in Chinese firms are organic and sustainable. Obviously they are and have been further pushed forward amid recent trade wars.

The so called hack into F-22 or F-35 secret is purely propaganda and cheap excuse for losing a game. No real professionals would believe it, including those Americans. However the good thing is, average Americans really buy this kind of bullshit, and then comfortably stay in their illusion. The...

    Chinese Missiles News & Discussions

Just watched the video, it's not matching the ballistic missile clips, including those lauched from submarines, which I watched before, that normally the missile disappeared in sight very quickly after launch. Seems to me, this one flew at near space at least for quite a while, otherwise the...

China Civil Aviation, AVIC (MA600) & COMAC (ARJ21/C919/C929)

Although what you said is right, priority needs to be identified. I believe the priority is to fill the domestic market first with some portion goes to Airbus and other non American aircraft makers, just like what they did in telecommunication market. The domestic market is already a huge cake...

China Civil Aviation, AVIC (MA600) & COMAC (ARJ21/C919/C929)

Just replace them with Chinese designed and made parts. Using foreign parts is for certification with FAA and EASA. For example, avionics are supplied by joint ventures with American companies But if you compare them with those on Y-20, there is no major difference. COMAC used ARJ-21 to learn...

China Civil Aviation, AVIC (MA600) & COMAC (ARJ21/C919/C929)

I bet you can see many of them out of China. The C919 and CR929 are meant to be replacing imported aircraft at first as China now has a total fleet size of more than 3000 aircraft and the airlines normally only run a new aircraft for 10 years. So the fleet recycling is going very frequently...

China Civil Aviation, AVIC (MA600) & COMAC (ARJ21/C919/C929)

I personally believe any future orders to Boeing have been suspended quietly. Airlines in China used to fly very new aircraft and recycle their fleets very frequently. I think now they can fly remaining US made aircraft a little longer and shift all orders to AirBus to at least maintain existing...
