    99% of countries don't shoot down aircraft that are barely violating territorial airspace. They warn said aircraft or send up other aircraft to force it to land. Not shoot first and ask questions later. it sounds like as well that the flight path was fairly routine

    Though Russia is currently upgrading it's tank force. The T-72 is still the main tank deployed in the Russian Army. Any modern tank such as the Abrams or leapord II will make mince meat of it.

    If Turkey or NATO as a whole decide to launch a coordinated attack on Syria. The air defenses will be one of the first things taken out. And I don't care what you think the abilities are of the bukm2 are. It will not be real hard to take out.

    The RQ-170 was most likely brought down by GPS spoofing. It was a known flaw that lockheed was warned about but did nothing to correct. I'm sure heads rolled and the problem is being corrected now. Obama did show how little backbone he has though when they could see the aircraft in large pieces...

    RoK along with other countries still buy Iranian oil. However in the future you will see that start to change since Iran has been cut off from the world banking system. This makes Gold the prefered meens for payment. this leads to a problem though with available gold reserves of given countries...

    As I said before 28k is a token force. The US can more then afford having them there even in bad economic times. Which the US has been in even worse economic times before. The US has other troops periodicly under foreign command such as in NATO. Be happy that we consider you a strong enough ally...

    When the troops are still there how does giving command to a Korean General have anything to do with the budget? It would not be the first or last time that troop command has been given to a foriegn general. We really only have a token force of 28k troops there.
