When the two pakistanis commenting in this thread hang out in Indian development threads all day long, frothing and fuming away to glory, talking about how "only 5% of the financial capital is livable", you've got to feel bad for their plight and generally high level of frustration.

Apart from the pace of life, I can't say that I find anything else the two cities have in common. Colombo>Kathmandu any day for me, though.
As for my own city, I hope to see it score better after major metro railway and road infrastructure projects are completed in the next 5-7 years.
I don't think I've ever seen a more badly behaved people than the chinese. Their service is awful, manners non-existent, and the volume at which they speak to each other even in airline/alliance lounges, is distasteful and downright rude. It's the upbringing, and they seem to be proud of it.
I hope you get what you want ASAP.
Actually, clean and green Matunga has good infrastructure, and it's a pity that a lot of the old buildings there are being redeveloped into towers. It's some parts of the eastern suburbs further north, that are lagging behind.
Metro Line 3 under construction...
I'd say it's a good mix of both.
One trip to Dhaka and you'll be thankful for even Kanpur. Barring the hospitality, the place is an absolute dump with NOTHING to offer.
I hope the metro solves at least some of the nightmarish traffic problems.
